Larry Rudolph On Britney Tonight: "You Can Expect Spectacularness"
Posted on Tue Mar 3, 2009 11:20 AM PDT

Larry Rudolph chatted with Ryan Seacrest this morning, and Brit's longtime manager talked about Brit's show tonight, her nerves, and what fans can expect from the pop princess' much hyped comeback tour. Larry told Ryan, "You can expect spectacular - spectacularness - is that a word?" From what we've seen so far, it does look pretty spectacularish, so we'd say Larry hit that one right on the head!
Brit rehearsed twice yesterday, and Larry told Ryan that the second rehearsal went until 2 or 3 in the morning, but it was "amazing." The show is very fast paced and intense, and Larry said:
- "[Britney] goes full speed through the whole thing...[the show is] about an hour and a half - pretty intense - there's only one time where it slows down - two ballads in the middle - but the rest is pretty fast. This is a full out, full blown, big Britney Spears show. It's a pop extravaganza. It is everything that everybody would expect from her and more."
When Ryan asked if Brit was nervous, Larry responded:
- "Before these kinds of things she always has a little bit or nervous energy. But she has a way of channeling it. It's sort of like I've said to her sometimes, 'If you were on a football team and you were going to the Super Bowl, they would want you to be their quarterback.' Because when it comes to game day, no one brings it like she does. She's got that little bit of nervous energy and she just directs it into the most amazing show you can possibly imagine."
So what's the "game plan" for today?
- "We're at the hotel right now. She'll probably sleep late today. She doesn't have her kids with her today. She'll probably sleep in until early afternoon, get up, have breakfast, probably go to the venue around 4 or 4:30, something like that. Go there, spend a little time and relax, then hair and makeup probably around 6 or 7 and then stage thereafter."
This is Brit's first time on tour as a mother, so what's that going to be like?
- "I think the boys give her amazing inspiration and amazing strength, they really do. It's actually been a great thing watching her with them throughout this whole process."
The most talked about moment of the show?
- "That's a tough one, because there are so many highlights of this thing...the costumes are unbelievable, people are just going to flip out from the costumes to the stage...we have a center stage and two side stages, so of course we have a three ring circus, it's just extraordinary, it's the biggest production out there."
Is Larry just hyping up the show, or will it truly be Brit's best concert tour to date? We only have to wait a few more hours to find out!
Did you buy tix for Brit's Circus?

My friend recommended me a very interesting place *** Affluentmeet Com *** It's where wealthy singles looking for someone to enjoy their wealthy lifestyle with.
DONT WORRY TALENTLESS W H O R E VICTORIA WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR MISTAKES WHILE YOU PLAY CIRCUS CLOW DRESSUP GAMES.
HOPEFULLY YOU AT LEAST MAKE ENOUGH TO COVER THE RENT YOUR PAYING TO DRAG YOUR POOR LITTLE MISTAKES ALONG. $40,000 A MONTH TO RENT YOUR MISTAKES AND VIC GETS TO SEE THEM FOR FREEEEEEEEE !!
I don't know how many people want to spend their money on a "concert" where the "performer" lip-syncs. What a joke it is when you think about it.
I give this tour 2 weeks.....
Um Larry, can we "expect" her to be dancing in a cage, wearing “bondage chic PVC nipple tassels“ then exposing her gentialia by the time she reaches the northeast? Or is that something special you have planned for the European leg of the tour?
TIRED IF THIS WOMAN.SHE IS NOTHING SPECIAL.SHE IS A MADONNA WANNABE.FORGETTE BRIT U ARE OVER
Aww look at Sean before she dumped him!
Why isnt she holding her son rather than her little dog??
so there ARE ballads???? thank god!! i hope that set list they posted it fake because its quite dissapointing.
Mmm Papi-llon didn’t make the mime list. LOL!
Will they have time to reapply her spray-on abs between costume changes?
She's carrying her dog instead of her child. Grow up Britney and take responsibility for the children you wanted.
She is going to be AWESOME tonight! I was both rehearsals...she rocked it! All you naysayers just sit back and get ready to eat your words.
As far as the photo...was taken months ago.
Gee, how unoriginal. She’ll be wearing a tiger headdress. All the Spears Machine did was dust off the wild animal theme they were going to use for Blackout and throw in some clowns so she could blend into the crowd.
DSquared Goes To The Circus
EVERYBODY'S favourite comeback queen, Britney Spears, kicks off her Circus tour in New Orleans today - and her costumes have been created by Canadian design stars Dan and Dean Caten, otherwise known as DSQUARED².
"We are enormous fans of Britney, and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to collaborate with her," the designers explained. "We searched for a different interpretation for this tour, starting with the traditional idea of the circus and then abandoning it."
An array of international singing stars have previously turned to the label to be dressed, including; Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Usher, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake. Britney's relationship with the quirky and controversial design double-act is perhaps the most appropriate yet - see their latest collection of "superstar goes to Starbucks the morning after" looks for evidence.
"We wanted to create something much more provoking and indecent...something animalistic and primal," the duo said of their inspiration, which, although based on the Circus seems to have more than a little in common with the lady herself. "We are confident that this tour partnership, an autobiographical tribute for one who has always been in the spotlight: scrutinized, watched, imitated, photographed, criticized and loved, will be an enormous success."

They will need a hell of a lot of make up on her ugly face.
This show/tour is going to suck out loud. Anyone who purchased a ticket to see this talentless skank lip-synch needs to be beaten about the head and shoulders.
And Victoria.......you were NOT at the rehearsals for this so-called show. Don't even try that.
Read between the lines....the show is spectacular and she walks around "arm dancing" and posing she in not spectacular THE SHOW AROUND HER IS

Good luck Brit
I'll be rooting for you tonight
Look, I'm a fan. I'm excited for the tour. But, can none of you at least be happy for her at least once? Would you rather have her continuing her antics of 2007? Or would you rather have her out of the spotlight? Britney media has been down. And thats something I'm sure you all love.
I'm not saying kiss her ass. I'm saying just try and focus on the good in life in general instead of the bad
1:25 TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION NOOOOOOOOO. WHY WOULD WE BE HAPPY FOR A CHILD ABUSING LOSING CLOWN WHO HAS NOO TALENT AND SHOULD JUST GO AWAY AND GET HER MIND BACK INSTEAD OF STRIPPING FOR THE GEEKS OF AMERICA??????????????
^ no talent? are you kidding me? she may not be a christina or a mariah, but she DOES have talent. so that was just flat out stupid. and she never once abused her kids. she may have neglected them, but she never abused them
and idiot, learn to turn your CAPS lock off. I can understand why all of the idiotic, stupid, pessemistic, and ignorant people hate Britney now. thanks for helping me clarify that. her tour is gonna kick ass tonight. and when it does, expect every britney fan to bombard you losers, rubbing it in your face.

I love how people continue to say they hate her, yet they continue posting here? If you hate someone so much, why would you keep bringing their name up, or talk about them?
It's more of an "obsession" for Britney than a "hatred" for Britney.
1:40 I’m not getting in the middle of your argument about child abuse vs. child neglect. However, I will provide a medical definition because you need one.
Child neglect is the most frequently reported form of CHILD ABUSE and the most lethal. This form of abuse is defined as the failure to provide for the shelter, safety, supervision and nutritional needs of the child. Child neglect can be physical, educational, or emotional neglect.
Physical neglect includes refusal of or delay in seeking health care, abandonment, expulsion from the home or refusal to allow a runaway to return home, and inadequate supervision.
Educational neglect includes the allowance of chronic truancy, failure to enroll a child of mandatory school age in school, and failure to attend to a special educational need.
Emotional neglect includes such actions as marked inattention to the child's needs for affection, refusal of or failure to provide needed psychological care, spouse abuse in the child's presence, and permission of drug or alcohol use by the child.

1:40 Face it - the average stripper has as much talent as Britney Spears, if not more. Most strippers actually dance BETTER than her. Her dancing (if you want to call walking around waving your arms "dancing") is mediocre at best. I mean really - that doesn't take much talent at all - the average stripper puts much more into their routines than Britney. And her singing is actually not very good at all, which is why you will never see her onstage actually singing live. I've said it before, but with all of the pitch correction and computer enhancement Jive Records uses on her recordings, they could make Steve Urkel sound like Luciano Pavarotti. If you are into her music, then it's certainly your right to buy her cd's, go to her shows and come to these sites and tell everyone how great you think she is. If you can overlook how she has mistreated so many people - including her own children - then the things in life you think are important are different than from where I sit. If Britney had treated people with respect and dignity, I bet most people would be willing to cut her some slack on the talent issue. Unfortunately for her, she chose to live her life in a completely selfish manner, with absolutely no concern for others. Everything was about her - what she wanted, when she wanted it. To this day, she still runs around and acts like she is above everyone else, and feels like she should be treated special because she is a "star". Because she acts this way, most people don't care about her, and some actually hate her. And they certainly are not going to cut her any slack on the lack of talent. I respect your right to come on her and defend her, but you need to respect the rights of others that disagree with you to voice THEIR opinions also.
Aids.
Kevin HAS legal custody of the kids. He must be doing %100 percent better with the kids then Britney ever did. A court of law, her parents, the lawyers, AND the public are in agreement with him having the kids with FULL custody. So Britney is the major screw up. In California it is almost impossible for a mother to lose her babies to a man. So the point is, if Kevin is such a scum bag and f*ck up, then imagine how much worse Britney must be for Kevin to have won complete custody of them.
All it proves is that Britney is insane and an evil mother since Kevin got them. So deal with it Britards. Your queen is an even bigger loser as a mother then Kevin is as a father!
BRITNEY SPEARS (Rolling Stone)
Britney Spears' triumphant comeback lost a little bit more of its romantic luster today, thanks to Rolling Stone publishing an interview with writer Jenny Eliscu where she opens up about how Spears had become much more sheltered between the time the two first met in the summer of 2001—when a chatty Spears walked Eliscu through her then-new Hollywood Hills mansion—and earlier this year, when there were instances where the two people breathed the same airspace, but didn't speak to one another. Eliscu also talks about how Spears' legal status affected her reporting:
You've heard her quote from the documentary Britney: For the Record about how she feels like a prisoner. Did you get that vibe from her?
The thing is, when I met with her, I wasn't looking for that. I had started to feel uncomfortable with all the restrictions, like submitting my questions for approval and not being left alone with her. And whenever I asked who was making these rules, I was told it had to do with the conservatorship. Like most people, I didn't know much about conservatorships or how they're supposed to work. Of course, the funny coincidence is that the most famous conservatorship in recent years isn't even Britney's: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were being run by a government conservatorship. And we see how brilliantly that turned out (It turned out horrible!).
Anyway, I had done some preliminary research into it, but I was not yet aware how hard Britney had tried to fight it initially and why. As my research progressed, it started to become clear to me that this might not be something that should still be in place. Because it is designed, ideally, to protect people who are seriously ill. We're talking about people who are non compus mentis, according to the lawyers I consulted. Or they're in a vegetative state. Or they're just so old that they can't take care of themselves anymore.
But Britney? It was making less and less sense as time went on.
So, as I say, it wasn't until after my last meeting with her that I realized how far beyond the scope of my interview this level of control extended into all facets of her life. And so, unfortunately, I wasn't, like, checking to see if she blinked out an S.O.S. code or whatever. But in hindsight, I did have a new understanding of the quote of hers at the end of the story, which is the last thing she said to me, in the context of being interviewed.
She was describing this song she wrote about artistic expression and masquerade — pretending to be other people and putting on shows. And she says, "Through this, you create your world." The song is about a girl who likes to live in a world of make-believe, and she's got all these people trying to come into her world that she didn't invite in. It's pretty telling. When you think about it, Britney Spears is an artist — a pop artist, in the truest sense — and sometimes artists do crazy things. I'm not sure why Britney isn't allowed to act out in the ways that we normally consider acceptable from artists. And we're guilty too because we created this Britney Spears character and we won't let her change.
These examples constituent child abuse:
A mother who leaves her infant in a locked car with the windows rolled up may permanently injure or kill her child.
A mother who fails to fasten her infant into a child restraint then drives at high speeds, ignoring red lights, stop signs and/or turning onto the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic may permanently injure or kill her child.
A mother who does any or all of the above while driving impaired may permanently injure or kill her child.
A mother who shakes her infant out of frustration may permanently injure or kill her child.
A mother who stifles her infant’s cries with a pillow may permanently injure or kill her child.
2:24, I am glad at least one of you can talk to me in civilized manner. I understand her dancing has not been up to par in recent performances, but those are only a few in the bunch. If you include these as well as the 2007 VMAs against all of her other ones, the other ones win out. She has more good performances than bad ones.
And when you talk about her life, that was over 2 years ago. You dont see her doing the same things she did, do you? No. You see her with her kids, or doing her job as a performer/singer/dancer/artist.
And there is a difference between stating your opinions in a calm manner, and than basically bad talking her. I have said numerous times that I'm not asking her to kiss her ass. All I'm asking for is for you all to put yourselves in her shoes. Could you deal with everyone knowing everything you did every single day? Constantly being photographed and than nit-picked to death? Could you deal with people currently judging your own parental skills even though those people had never met you? I'm not saying that everyone here doesn't have the right to what they say because they do. But, it's not right to judge someone's entire life without even knowing they're whole side of the story or even knowing them.
It seems to me like everyone here would love to see her fail. With that type of mindset, you all are the sad ones here. If you honestly wanted her whole life to spiral out of control again just for laughs, than you really need to evaluate your life.
Does anyone remember any other celebrity mother who compelled the LAPD to obtain a restraining order against her? I can't.

Lawyer: Cops Issued Restraining Order Against Britney Spears

If you remember, she had that breakdown right after her second tour; she then flipped off the people of Mexico. She then "mysteriously" disappeared for a few months "to take a break" as her handlers told the media. Then she had another breakdown at the beginning of her Onyx tour and she did not show up for TWO of her shows, and the fans were already in their seats. Then shortly after that she started running off stage crying on her European leg of the tour. Then she started to breakdown even more as the tour went on. Then her knee went out on her and she cancelled the whole tour. Same crap is going to happen on this joke of a tour. But it will be even worse since she is now insane. Just wait, she will crash and burn soon. It will be worse than any time before, and the tabs are going to have a field day with it all. And that is what the world is really waiting for. They are not really interested in her comeback (except for a few delusional fans, lol). And her fans are going to be screaming and crying again as usual while the haters laugh, and laugh, and laugh as usual, lol.
2:35 PM
The Contitution does not day anything about being civilized in your Freedom of Speach. If you can't take criticizm or handle Britney being criticized then you have a problem.
right on 2:35
Why should we leave her alone? Everyone has a right to communicate there opinion. It is called “Freedom of Speech”. If you can say you like her, then we can say we don’t. What is really going on here is that you want to believe what you want, you want to say what you feel, but everyone else has to agree with you or they are not allowed so say anything. Talk about censorship! That is very selfish of you, not us.
Britney’s career is based on what the public wants. Some want her, a lot of others don’t. She is the one that lives off the public. If “we” the public are tired of her and some are not, then we can say so. She is a product and is being sold as one (sex, lip-synching, and walking around the stage). If most of the public are tired of a product, they can say so and give their opinion. If they don’t like a product, they can say so. It is everyone’s right. And most of the public are very tired of this product. It is NOT a good product at all. It lip-synchs, it does not dance, and it is defective and broken.
And no, everyone does not lip-synch live. Especially real artist from the past like: Led Zeppelin, Janice Joplin Bob Dylan. Or even a lot of today’s artist. Someone like Mariah Carey or Celine Dion can really sing (not my kind of music, but they can really sing). Britney can’t sing at all, so she has to pretend. If I want karaoke, then I will go down to the nearest club for “fake show night”. So the excuse that “everyone” lip-synchs so it is fine if Britney does it is not true. You are just using a blanketing statement and wide generality to cover up for your lack of understanding of what a real artist is. And to also cover up for Britney’s inability to sing or be a real artist.
All this shows is that the industry has created a really low level crowed of “artists” today that have no talent. And that is not an excuse for mediocrity. People need to push for the record companies to have real artists again with real talent. Artists that can write their own songs and really sing etc.
And with the way her team is pushing Britney right now, so they can have more money, is only going to push her in to another breakdown soon. She is not even ready for this pressure. I mean, she is under a c-ship because she is nuts, she is being medicated and has lost her kids, and they are pushing her like they did before, which ran her in to the ground in the first place. That also ended up putting her in to psych wards twice and rehab once. Wow, great people she has around her these days. It will be interesting to see what Larry and her team say (their damage control statements) when she breaks down again!
Same four haters posting again. Good grief people, get a life.
2:35 I think most people have grown tired of explaining everything to you. Maybe someone else is willing to explain (for the umpteenth time) who she was calling, when, and why. And most importantly, why she refuses to change. You're not wasting my time.
2:55 (2nd). Thank you, that was a great post and so true!
TinkerBell, lol. That's a fags name. And if you dont' like the posts here, then go somewhare else you fag, lol.
True, David is a waste of time.
Britney’s father is a creepy pervert as is her manager (Larry). Britney is under a c-ship, which only happens when you are really messed up mentally to the point that psychiatrists and a court of law finds you very incompetent to run your own life, or take care of yourself. They basically find that you are at the age of an 8 year old or worse.
So now her father and "team" strip her down naked for videos and make her do a bunch of sex shows while she lip-synchs and walks around the stage.
Her team are a bunch of sex perverts and child porn pushing scum. Basically they are taking a mentally retarded person that is under a c-ship, with the mentality of an 8 year old, and forcing her to perform sex acts so they can make money off of her. They should all go to jail for what they have done to Britney!
I don’t care if she walks off the stage or she’s carried off, as long as she’s gone.
Britney is under a c-ship. That means she has no legal rights or the ability to make decisions. She does not get the last say in anything. She has to do as her father (her conservator) says!
She is also mentally messed up real bad. She will be that way for life since there is no cure for it. All they can do is monitor her and keep her on major medication for the rest of her life with lots of psychiatric evaluations from time to time.
So it is her team that makes the decisions and pushes her on this naked sex tour and to lip-synch and walk around the stage. You can tell she is being force to do it and she has already said in interviews lately that she is not happy and that no one will listen to her.
She has also been doing poorly with her shows, not really caring, and walking around without much care or energy on stage. That’s her way of showing she is just not in to it. It is also her way of rebelling against her management and her father. She is trying to tell them she is not in to it and does not want to do it. But as she has said, they just won’t listen to her.
Someone should sue her team and take it to court so the truth can come out about how she is being raped and forced to perform for the public. Her handlers and father are just trying to make more money off of this poor girl who has major mental problems. If her “team” keeps pushing her, she will have another major breakdown soon with all the pressure that is being built up around her that she is being pushed in to.
She looks good because her handlers are dressing her up again. On her own she would not be doing all of this. We saw a few years of her “taking care of herself”, and she was not able to do it at all. That is why she is under a conservatorship now and on psychiatric medication. So acting like she is doing well because she has washed her hair, and she has nice clothes on is not proof of anything. She is not doing that herself. Her "daddy" and management are dressing up the little girl so her fans can think she is doing fine. She is not fine and she has said so herself.
Britney is NOT selling her CD, since it is NOT her CD. It is the industry that wrote the songs. It is the industry that creates her image, it is the industry that makes these videos and cuts them and edits them so she will appear to look normal or good. She is not an artist and can't create any of that. She was only able to dance years ago, but can't do that now. So she has nothing left that she can create. It is all her handlers and the industry that have done all the work. So she is nothing more then an image. This whole comeback is a farce and it will be exposed soon when Britney tries to perform live on stage over a few months on tour, and trying to sing 20 songs a night. She will break down and go nuts again. Then the world will see her as she really is again, a no talent mentally disturbed person who left her babies for fame! And her fans are the enablers that will end up killing her. I feel so sorry for Britney.
I'm actually really scared for Britney. She has just come out of one of the worst mental states there is. And now she is being put under a tremendous amount of pressure while she is still under a c-ship and mentally fragile. She has even said she is very unhappy. I really hope her people don't push her over the edge. Her fans are demanding way too much of her. This is way too much way too soon.
It's because this is not what Britney wants to do. She has said she is very unhappy, and that she is not really ready for all of this. Her father has her under a legal conservatorship and is pushing her. So is her manager and the CD label. They are the ones pushing her to do this. She has said that she has tried to talk to them, but they won't listen to her. They just keep pushing her. You can tell she is just giving a fake smile and that she is not happy on stage. She said in her documentary that she "hates" clubs and people around her now. She just wants to stay home and read Danielle Steel romance novels. A lot of her fans think this pressure is way too soon and that it will hurt her a lot in the end. It's her managers and her dad that is making it look like she wants to be back. If they keep pushing her then she will crack and breakdown again heavily.
The new t-shirt for aspiring whores.

Britney's fans have just as much hatred in them as the "haters" from what I have seen. I have seen tons of posts on many different websites where someone has simply said they are not in to Britney, or that they think her show was not good. They were not showing any hate, but were just leaving there opinion. But her fans would tear that person down in a very vicious way. I have even seen Britney fans wishing death on some of the posters that only left an opinion and not hate. From my experience, and some of the other people I have known, I have seen more rabid hate from Britney fans then from the so called "haters" that you talk about.
I have also seen that kind of hate from Britney fans when they did not like a news article from the news media, when all the reporter said was he/she thought the new CD was not as good as an old one of hers or that they did not really like the new CD (which is just opinion). Yet some of her fans would just tear in to the reporter. I've even seen some that threatened the reporter or the site. So I don't see how you can think that the "haters" are the only ones. They are not. Britney fans are far more rabid and hateful about it all. And for someone they don’t even know. They associate themselves with Britney too much.
2:35 I understand what you are saying about two years ago. And I agree that people should be given a chance. But I think you are overlooking the fact that any changes for the better she has made are a result of the courts placing her under a conservatorship, not because she suddenly decided that she needed to change. As a matter of fact, all indications are that she would rather be hanging out with Sam and Adnan (she was texting them behind her dad's back), and as she said in her interview, she feels like a prisoner and couldn't wait to get out and party again and be "cool". Most people, including the doctors and the court, feel that left to her own devices, she would be back out living her life the same way she was in 2007. Otherwise, they would give her more custody of the children, and loosen the restrictions they have on her. Look, for the sake of her boys, I hope she gets it together. Not that I care for her music, or for her as a person. But I hate the thought of what life is going to be like for those boys as they get older - the nasty comments from people about their mother, not being able to get on the internet without running into pictures of mom - well, you know... They are innocent, and don't deserve it. But in the meantime, Britney keeps putting her "career" ahead of the boys. Look at the recent video - they re-shot it so they could put her in sexier costumes. The one before that, she is naked. Now she is the Candies Girl. She has no regard for how this is going to effect her boys down the road - it's all about her. That's where I have a real problem.
Britney’s fans regularly bash Lindsay, Christiana and Rihanna. The fans scream 'Leave Britney Alone' then bash another celeb and ask people to do the same. The fans don’t care if a celebrity is disliked. They only care that Britney is disliked. The fans act as if they are defending Britney when in fact they are defending their own fragile, twisted ideas. The Spears Machine has almost brainwashed these fans. They don’t want to hear any truth that interferes with the bullshit fairy tale.
All this BS BS false praise will only make the crash burn that much harder! Cool!!!!
BRITNEY SPEARS' WRONG KIND OF CIRCUS
I actually used to admire the Britney machine.
There was something downright awe-inspiring about the sheer audacity of everyone involved in the project. Long after the woman-child at the heart of it all had been exposed as simple, talentless and lacking even the most basic interest in her "art," her people forged on and continued to produce material under the Britney brand.
People would write songs for her, she'd come in and croak out a few notes before going back to her Cheetos, and then someone would Pro Tool the hell out of the whole thing. Soon enough, the world would have another collection of easily digestible, thoroughly disposable and somewhat amusing commercial pop music with barely any input from Brit Bot.
I appreciated the twisted honesty of the whole situation: Britney wasn't an "artist" and no one was really trying that hard to pretend she was. In fact, there wasn't much effort being put into the pretense that she was a necessary part of the process at all. It was almost like a performance art piece on the superficiality of modern mainstream pop music and tabloid fame.
As Britney's mental issues became more and more apparent, though, the spectacle became a lot less entertaining. It's one thing to laugh at a woman who spends all of her time hanging out at Taco Bell drive-ins being half-assedly propped up as a pop princess. It's an entirely different thing to watch her go through a very public breakdown and then have her dragged through the entire process again.
On the surface, Circus is a lot like the Britney albums that I found so perversely entertaining. It's still full of the guilty pleasure, aural-equivalent-of-McDonald's-food kind of songs that made her so popular in the first place. But upon further listens, there seems to be something more mean-spirited going on this time around. The joke's no longer on the record-buying population; it's now on Britney herself.
This is most apparent in "Blur," a track about waking up in a stranger's bed and not knowing what she's done the night before. If Britney had actually recovered and written the thing herself, it might have been a cheeky, self-aware take on the past few years of her life. Seeing as it was written for her and she's obviously not all there, it just comes off as terribly exploitational and creepy.
There's also a cruel irony that runs through the title track. At best, it's painfully clueless to have a 27-year-old woman who's under conservatorship to her father sing about being in the middle of the ring and being in control. At worst, it's an outright mockery.
Most of the other tracks are pretty innocuous. There are the usual songs about boys ("MMM Papi, "Unusual You"), fame ("Kill The Lights") and single entendres ("If U Seek Amy"), but even their substance-free fun can't distract from the ugliness of the greater picture.
Britney's definitely in a circus. It's just a shame that no one is willing to tell her she's not the ringmaster, she's the freak show.
And the meltdown will be filled with spectacularness in the biggest way! Greed and stupidity will continue to be her downfall!
I smell a HUGE meltdown comming on soon. They will be carting Britney off to the loony bin again soon. And it will be her fans, managers, and parents fault like it was the last time Britney went nuts.
Strange how the very things that Drove Britney crasy and in to a psychiatric facility are the very same things that her handlers (family, managers the industry) are making her do again. All the same things are in place again for it to all go wrong and happen again. The one difference is that she is far more unstable now then she was at the begining of her career. She is now under a c-ship and is far more crazy with far more potential to lose it again this time around.

I agree with you 4:05. It is easy to see (except for her fans) that she will go crazy again and be back to 2006/2007.
Britney Spears Has Tacky Tour T-Shirts
"BritneySpears.com recently unveiled what her Circus tour t-shirt designs. They start with a T and end with ACKY. Tacky, tacky. The worst, by far is a design of a long-sleeved shirt that’s meant to look like really red necky tattoo sleeves. This design may sell super well tonight in Louisiana when her tour kicks off. More up north? Not so much."

Good luck tonight Britney!
Shitney will be strapped on a gurney and stowed in a short bus on a return trip to the mental ward before her Circus is over.
Wearing that T and end with ACKY shirt!
Great post 3:17
One of these two managers is a liar...
Johnny Wright, whose roster of former clients includes Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and The Jonas Brothers, insist Britney should not be attempting to resurrect her career, but instead concentrating on getting her life back on track after suffering an emotional breakdown last year...“A comeback is not what I wish for Britney. All her essential relationships have been torn apart. She’s been divorced twice, she doesn’t have custody of her kids, she is being pushed back into being a money machine,” Johnny says in a new interview with OK! “It’s too soon for her to be a part of a manufactured machine that is pushing her to have to be a success.”
Larry Rudolph said Spears will be nothing less than the confident superstar she is when the pop princess takes to the stage tonight in New Orleans. “She doesn’t really get nervous,” Rudolph said. “She gets sort of that pre-show energy and, I wouldn’t even call it the jitters...“It’s so funny. I read some of these media reports and it’s just amazing to me how wrong some of these things are, especially some of the online things… You hear, ‘Is she ready? Is she gonna be able to pull it off?’ … She’s an incredibly hard worker. She’s back to work, she’s doing her thing. There’s no issue,” Rudolph said. “Anything anybody has read or heard of that nature, somebody made it up."
...and it isn't Johnny Wright.
What else do you suckers expect the Spears Machine to say?
"Oh, she's a nervous wreck and we really don't know what to do about it. We just hope we make money before it all comes crashing down! We's gots ta get paid!"
Where did the Spears' learn about child-rearing? Seriously, where? In a barnyard? Those children were frightened and crying at the Good Morning America mime act. Now they are going to be used as props for a tour photo-op and it could damage their hearing!
“When Spears takes the stage Tuesday in front of tens of thousands of fans, she will have two very special guests in the crowd. Rudolph confirmed that Spears' sons — Sean Preston and Jayden James — will be watching their mother’s tour, for the first time.
“It’s the first time they’re gonna see momma on stage,” Rudolph said. “They came to ‘GMA’ and they saw that performance and they loved it and now they’re gonna see her in a giant arena with 16-17,000 people screaming. I think it’s going to be an interesting thing.”

Actually, I'm not a fan but your comment was fun to read. :)
Ooops, sorry for the confusion!
Wow, coming on sites like this make you realize how many people really do not lives. If you are not a fan of Britney Spears, i do understand the concept of reading anything about her let alone writing tons and tons of negative comments. It seriously does not make sense.
Just by looking at the pics and rehearsal footage, i already know that this tour is a success.
No. It will probably only take one minor snafu for her to have a tantrum and then the tour will tank when this happens. Her track record is all anyone needs to look at to see what's in store! Just like the failed Onyx tour and many other instances! The pressure and stress has yet to begin and she can't even handle a simple parking ticket! Only a matter of time!
It will be interesting to see how much money this tour actually pulls in. I doubt in these tough economic times, people are going to want to spend their hard earned money watching someone lipsynching songs while prancing around on a stage - sorry! I really don't believe that Brittany is talented at all - I can dance and flail my arms around just as well as she can! She has great PR people who promote her "talent" - its like beating a dead horse - time to realize - there is no talent to promote and people just aren't gonna pay -
I do feel sorry for her if in fact she has been pushed in to doing this - but somehow I don't think she has.
She should be taking a year or two off to get mentally healthy and spent time repairing her relationship with her kids but apparently regaining her fame is more important. How sad for those little boys.
