OK, I usually don't comment on this thing, I'm more of a lurker, but I just had to respond to this ridiculousness. First of all, the LAPD put out a statement saying that there was NO calls about a gun and that nothing like that was found in the home. Second of all, like many have said, if she had taken over 100 OxyContin in 36 hours, she'd be dead and certainly would not be AWAKE for days as has been correctly reported. Third, if she had made threats against her children's lives, I'm sure LAPD would have PRESSED CHARGES and she most definitely WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN RELEASED from Cedars-Sinai where she was held on a 5150, meaning they did NOT deem her a threat to herself OR ANYONE ELSE.
Now, don't get me wrong. I am no Brit-Fan, nor am I a Brit-Basher. I am merely an intelligent US citizen who is as drawn to this trainwreck as everyone else.
The poor girl needs some help. Yes, she brings most of it upon herself, and yes, she appears extremely desensitized, self-centered, and delusional but I also strongly believe that she suffers from MULTIPLE mental issues most likely including bipolar disorder and postpartem psychosis. I think there is more to this story than has been reported. While I don't believe all of the stuff News of the World says,the fact of the matter is there was an awful lot of activity going on...police, paramedics, helicopters etc...something caused Kevin to fear for the safety of his kids. The monitor felt the safety of the kids was compromised as well. As for Britney harming the kids and herself, I so believe that could happen. There have been a lot of cases where custody battles are concerned when one parent has killed the kids and themselves rather than let the other parent "have" them. It's not about the exes, it's about the kids and unfortunately, there are a lot of immature people out there who have no business even being parents.Britney is mentally ill for sure,but I'm not sure I buy the story she wasn't on something...maybe not illegal, but something.

To the as$hat who said Kevin would "jump" at a "few mil" in exchange for giving up custody...I call bullcrap on you...I have seen the document with my own eyes where she offered him 22 million and then when he said no to THAT, 28 million. He did not even consider EITHER offer. Unlike Britney who has made millions selling pics of her kids, Kevin would never, EVER sell his children. When they were married, Britney even sold pics of his daughter with Shar to People magazine. She scheduled a photo shoot on one of Kevin's visitations without telling him and he thought it was a nice "trying to be a good stepmommy" surprise...he didn't find out until Shar called, pissed to high heavens because her own child was on the cover of a magazine without permission that Britney had done this. She took over two hundred thousand dollars for those pics- and kept all of it. Neither Kevin nor Shar will take money from the sale of photos of the children.

I know it may seem like that's not germane to this post, but I wanted to point out that even if News of the World WASN'T a total tabrag that EVERYONE knows is full of lies, we'd still know that claim about her offering 100 million in exchange for custody was bogus. After Britney made the second $28mil offer, Kevin told her he did not care if she offered every dime she had, he would not give up his sons. Then she offered him FIVE million in exchange for just having ONE day of visitation per week...and he wouldn't take THAT, either. After that she stopped trying to BUY her own damn children.


As to the gun claim...Kevin did purchase a gun for Britney YEARS ago...she had a couple of fans that were getting stalker-ish and following her on international spots on her tour...but Kevin quickly discerned that Britney was, in his words, too mercurial to own a firearm, so he took it back to the place he'd purchased it from. Britney didn't even have the gun for a month and it was well before the kids were born. He ended up giving her pepper spray and a stun gun to use as protection against someone who might want to harm her, but he said she was always turning on the stun gun to watch the little "crackle" of light and he was afraid she'd somehow hurt herself with THAT, too- so he took it out of her purse one night and just left the pepper spray.

IF Britney has any firearms currently, she bought them herself. (I don't think she does, but then the cops DID only search ONE of her residences and she has THREE in the area, so anythings possible.

I also know for a fact that Kevin is NOT the one who called the cops. He was as surprised as everyone else to learn what was going on, and he called his lawyer because he knew Britney was behaving in a way not consistent with someone who wants or deserves to be with her children, and he knew he might need Kaplan to get an emergency court order for Britney to turn over the kids. (Which he DID...it was only when the order arrived and they threatened to take her to jail if she disobeyed it by refusing to give up the kids that she "let" them pry a screaming, trembling Jayden from her arms)

Now that we know WHY she did this- she felt she "deserved" extra time with the kids because she sat in the deposition for THIRTEEN MINUTES...even though she was home at 12:10 and her visitation started at 12:00, she insisted she deserved an extra two hours. The more I find out about that night, the more I am disgusted with her...Jayden has a HORRIBLE diaper rash now because he was sitting in his own filth all that time Britney was holding him hostage. I mean, they were IN a fully stocked bathroom and she COULD have cleaned him off and wrapped a towel around him for a makeshift diaper or something...but NO- God forbid she exerts the slightest but of EFFORT on her sons' behalf. Kaplan also told Kevin that Jayden was screaming "Dad-eeeeeee, Dad-eeeeeee" over and over and Britney kept telling him to "shut up".

A lot of people are saying that we shouldn't "pick on" Britney because she has a "mental illness"...a) I think she orchestrated that 'breakdown' 100%...while I don't believe she called JamieLynn and SAID so, I do believe that she wanted to wrest the spotlight back to herself. And b) even if she IS 'mentally ill', she is cognizant enough to understand what she is doing...and her refusal to get help is just like her missing half a dozen depositions, being late for the short time she gets to see her kids, and refusing to obey traffic laws and motor vehicle regulations--- a great big middle finger to society in general.

NOT true at all. The court monitor had Sean in his carseat, while Britney took Jayden. This bogus story has her holding both kids.
