Should Britney Have Performed?

SOOOOO many of you were happy enough just to see Brit turn up at the VMAs ... and her winning three awards was some sweet, sweet icing on an already delicious cake ... but would the world be a better place if Queen B had performed?
Of course everyone remembers last year's performance ...
... Do you think if she had tried to bust a move this year it would have been a pitiful repeat of the 2007 VMAs? NO WAY! You saw her moves in this rehearsal video that "leaked" on Friday and she was totally back!
Would a performance had helped Britney? Or hurt?

I only watched the VMA's to see if she was going to perform... God... everything about the VMA's sucked, it was so bad!
sadly, it might have been better if she had performed. Those awards were based on nothing but pure pity. If she had performed, and performed successfully, that might have shown the world she is on her way to recovery. As it stands, all that was proven was that she can be dressed up and medicated enough to step up on a stage and say a few words. That doesn't require any real talent.

It was disgusting that they allowed her to even win one, even if it was a pity win. She is so far below any of the other nominees she shouldn't have even made the nominee list. I certainly do NOT applaud her for getting her career back on track, it should be the furthest thing on her mind. I would much rather see her going to parenting classes than to a studio whether it be dance or recording. She needs to think about her children instead of herself.
It is being reported that when she went to the press room, she turned around and fled. Chris Brown took her place. She went back a little later but just posed for pictures and said nothing at all. i think it's too early for her to perform, sure she is dancing well from the looks of the video, But she needs to come back as good if not better then she has been in the best of her career for people to see that she's still got it, so she did good by not doing so, i think give it 6 months to a year if she keeps up the practice she'll get there, don't forget she used to be a gymnist so i know she's dedicated enough to do it, she works hard normally. oh and to 8.08 to be a good parent she needs to feel confident in herself and to look after herself too and getting back to what she does enjoys and does best is important for her to be at her best with her children when she's with them, nothing worse than a depressed mother.
