I don't consider this a C. She did have a LOT going on and such but the fans loved it and isn't that who she is catering to? I have yet to read one negative review from a fan in attendance. "Appeared to be lip syncing"? That's how much these reviewers know about Britney (who ALWAYS has lip synced) and her performances.

-Gimme More: HAVE and MUST SING THIS SONG. It's her anthem, how dare she don't perfom this song!!!
-NOT the Duffy cover: Britney have a lot of songs and we know it. She perform only 3 songs from Circus, so better she change this track for Unusual You or Out From Under. And on the "Boys" song is better "Toy Soldier", why repeat songs if she have new ones.
-Energy: Sometimes Britney didn't dance and just walk and move her hands like the VMA chaos perfomance, she must dancin' more! Dude, on Slave she just walk and move her lips like is singin'...pff.

Have you seen the clips on youtube. She's barely dancing. She's doing more riding around on props and strutting the stage with a few stripper shimmying moves thrown in. Then the entire concert including two ballads were mimed. Is there even a live band? I can't see one. Instead of growing as an artist as most artists do with age she is regressing. She was better as a teenager. And her personal life being so bad has nothing to do with her professional life and any actual talent. This is really disappointing.

I was there last night. Her performance was awesome. She looked spectacular. At times her choreography was a little off, but this was this was her first performance. Overall she did a fantastic job. I would give her an A++++!!!! Congratulations on putting on the best Circus on Earth!!!!!!

Ok...First of all I am not a huge fan of Britney Spears. I do like her music and acknowledge that most of what she does is perform...and lipsync. That said, I was at her show in New Orleans and for the most part loved it. It kept you on your toes just waiting for what was coming next. She looked great and danced her ass off. The only part I wasn't thrilled with was the show between the Pussycat's set and hers. It was only on one of the small circus rings and if you were on the opposite side you missed all the action. Other than that she did a good job and I think it was a success.

I was going to buy tickets for Atlanta tomorrow night, now I'm glad that I didn't waste my money. I do wish her well, but she really doesn't seem to have her heart into it. Don't call it a comeback quite yet. Britney Spears still isn't all the way there. At least not from the standpoint of the kickoff concert of her much-anticipated Circus tour – her first trek in five years – at the New Orleans Arena Tuesday night.

When she wrapped the concert about 90 minutes after emerging, she seemed more relieved than anything that it was all over.

Can't wait to see you next month, Ms. Spears. Looking forward to some great entertainment. I for one prefer that my entertainers be HUMAN (with all of our quirks and errors and nervousness and balding and fattening and shit that comes with aging and children) as opposed to the PERFECT airbrushed automaton/terminator that your detractors seem to expect.

I know for sure that if I tried to run around a stage and kick and flail and climb props for 90 minutes...I sure as hell wouldn't be doing any singing! It's barely humanly possible to have that kind of lung and diaphragm capacity...so keep up the lip-syncing and entertain us!

The concert is available on youtube. It was not as bad as i thought it would be, but she did not sing anything. Her concert is all about the spectacle and not about her at all. She seemed lost on stage and a little scared about what she had to do. If this is what is to happen at all of her concerts then i do not think she is going to make it. She seems overwhelmed by all of what is taking place on stage and on occasion looked like a deer in the headlights who thought that she might get shot.

By all acounts the show itself may be something to see (except for perez hilton), but britney herself is underwhelming because she does not have it anymore. She is unable to command an audience like she used to. All that people have left is what they can project on to her. Absolutely! The Spears Machine created “a stage spectacle” so she did not standout and make a “spectacle of herself” while performing. Sadly, her fan base consists primarily of 13-21 year olds. I doubt the Machine would turn away anyone willing to throw away money on this farce. They continue to rely on ignorant parents and minors for their personal enrichment.

This sounds familiar. A concert tour starts and it doesn't get great reviews. Then the venues don't sell out and before you know it the tour gets cancelled. All you need is a charisma, a stage presence, and hot moves. If you have all of those, your tour will be a hot. britney delivered last night. Just finished watching a few of the videos from the show in NOLA on YouTube. I'm not a hater, but I thought the performance was, well, lame. All she did was walk around, stopping every now and then to wave her arms or gyrate her ass. That was pretty much it. I didn't see anything that could remotely be construed as professional dancing. We knew she would be lip-syncing, so that's a mute point. But after reading all the press build-up about how much she has been rehearsing, I was expecting a little more than this. If you took away the magicians, dancers and other distractions, her personal performance wasn't very good at all. But hey, props to her for at least showing up. Her fans seemed to enjoy it, so more power to her. All I can say is they are easily amused.

The Vancouver concert was a total flop. She seemed bored, she looked stressed, it was sloppy overall... Plus the 40 minutes break because there was too much smoke. LIKE she doesn't smoke... Heh.
