Virtually no media coverage? I dont love Britney, but I dont hate her. Her reviews have been pretty positive except for Canada, where she is being panned.

Honestly we all wish her the best but she seems like she is really not into the performances so It is really hard to support her when she is not pputting in 100% on her tour. Honestly anyone can do that (it is called Kareoke).

I personally don't like Beyonce all that mutch but at least she respects her fans enough to put on her best performance for them... Singing like and danceing her ass off at her tours with full confidence and love for what she does.

Britney's dad and management wanted this tour to happen. And as always they got what they want. It's easy to see that Britney doesn't want to do these shows. She tries to act like she's into her performance when she's on stage when we all know she isn't. She's a terrible actress. I feel sorry for her.

With the tragedy surrounding the death of Natasha Richardson; Lindsay Lohan and Sam's antics; Rihanna and Chris Brown's "beat down" and the economic meltdown (recession), Shitney and her Circus have ended up where they belong-the bottom of the barrel. NO ONE gives a sh*t about her talentless performances; lip syncing, gyrating and putting her fat body on display no longer interests too many people.

Maybe this will give the egocentric, smug, self-satisfied attention whore something to ponder...but with a 10-year old child's mentality, that's expecting a lot.

I went to the Newark NJ concert 3/13/09. Britney was AMAZING! She is one of the best performers ever. She still is gorgeous! Her energy and attitude made the concert phenomenal.

I went to her Toronto show and there were line ups just to get into the ACC venue. Her Canadian shows were sold out the day tickets went on sale!

Her dancing was far better than any other artist I have ever seen dance!! But in all fairness her moves werent the same as 5 years ago. But she is trying, and she is getting back into the swing of things. Her dancing was still good!

It bothered me that she didnt really talk to her fans and that she didnt sing much live.

In all fairness, the critics who say her dancing sucks compare her to Britney 2003. If you compare her to other artists, she is at the top of her league.

Well aren't you people bright. Tickets sold out for the Montreal show so fast they had to add another show which will be in May and the Canadians are loving her. She is not fat and she is putting on a helluva show. I saw her show In New Orleans and it was really good. It was the O2 Arena gigs which initially made me suspicious of the tour. I had wondered if they had booked the O2 dates FIRST, anticipating (or hoping) that they would expand this into a residency of several weeks, and wondered if they had wrapped the rest of the Circus tour around that notion. (I read quickly last night that Prince played the 02 for 21 nights last summer! Remember when there was initially talk of Brit taking up a residency in Vegas? Same idea.)

And for people who say this tour is a failure, why dont you go and look up the tour on google and see what you get. About 95% of reviews are POSITIVE. Except for Canada, where she's being canned, but Canada doesn't really get britney like people in North America do.

And for people who think her career is stupid or dead, again, do some research. The album has sold about 3.5 million world-wide. Thats a pretty big deal, since her last album couldnt even go platinum in the US. Her video for "If U Seek Amy" is #1 on Itunes, her fastest selling video to date, and the single for the video is climbing radio charts.

Taking the Circus theme literally, the show opened with 20 minutes of jugglers, clowns, acrobats and, oddly, dancing ninjas. When Brit finally appeared, it was awesome. The booming base of Circus came pumping out of the speakers and Spears dropped from the sky with her dancers.

Then it quickly became evident that this big top was more spectacle than substance. The big-budget magic of “Ooh Ooh Baby” and “Hot as Ice” were neat in a Vegas sort of way. But the hyper-sexuality of the show, loads of S&M imagery, barely pantomimed threesomes and a stripper pole Spears mounted on the back of a giant tricycle for “Boys” wasn’t all that titillating. And chasing the Bollywood trend on “Me Against the Music” just made her look behind the curve.

A smarter, stronger ring leader could have pulled it off, ahem, Madge, but not Brit. Or at least not the Brit who showed up in front of last nights 17,804.

Spears didn’t even pay lip service to lip synching, instead she just occasionally mouthed along to her backing tracks. And, as the show wore on, her dancing seemed less crisp and eventually bordered on lifeless, even if - thanks to 20 dancers framing the star - the encore of “Womanizer” rocked.

She lip-synched her entire Friday night show at the Prudential Center in Newark, with the possible exception of ballad "Everytime." So she didn't waste a lot of energy trying to stay on key, or project emotion. And she didn't threaten to draw attention away from her remarkably athletic dancers, or the propulsive beats of the canned backing tracks.

On her next tour, maybe she'll figure out a way to present a concert without even being in the building.

It's astonishing that some pop critics have bought into the comeback hype surrounding this tour, which began on March 3, and also included a Saturday night concert at the Prudential Center.

The ancient art of lip-synching made a triumphant comeback Tuesday night, dominating, as it did, wannabe dominatrix Britney Spears' 90-minute New Orleans show, which launched her 45-date "Circus" tour. (A Philly date has yet to be added.) The singularly non-sensual (and nonsensical) Brit, 27, who must be the unsexiest sex symbol in history, packed the show with so much spectacle that some critics said it drowned her out.

Brit may have cycled through 807 costumes, but each was cut from the same sex-shop cloth: There was a metallic robot-style corset, a police uniform, sequinned jodhpurs, PVC hot pants and a Swarovski crystal-studded bra, and the piece de résistance - a sequinned leotard with nipple tassels. Brit did a pole dance, lap danced to a clown, and fondled her male dancers. Oh, and she moved her lips to "Baby One More Time," "I'm A Slave 4 U," and "Womanizer." All this for $95 to $250 per ticket! (Some folks paid as much as $750).

Before Britney Spears gives a lapdance to an audience member or gets sawed into three pieces or plays human Whack-a-Mole with her dancers, she stands still. It only lasts for a moment because soon, Spears will get trapped in a golden cage and go Bollywood.

But in that moment, the "Circus" tour is like her life - a massive money-making venture designed to play up her talents and distract from her shortcomings with a mix of techno-tinged sex appeal and disco-flavored flash. And, like her life, it is, more or less, a success.

Sure, she always gets a lot of help from her troupe of 12 dancers, who pull her across the stage or give her rides on their bicycles as well as serve as distractions so we don't notice she's only moving at two-thirds speed or not doing all the moves her dancers are.

They're kind of performance insurance. After all, the stakes are high for the "Circus" tour, her first full-fledged outing since 2004, long before her personal life began to unravel so publicly. And at the sold-out show at Nassau Coliseum last night, Spears definitely plays it safe.

Does it matter? Well, not to her overwhelmingly female fan base. Spears has been lip-synching in her act since she graduated from the " Mickey Mouse Club."

The success of latter-day Britney Spears, particularly when it comes to her live tours, truly baffles some people.

She doesn't sing live and, in fact, barely puts any effort into her lip synching now. Her dancing is childishly basic. Her shows employ elaborate sets and a cabal of talented back-up dancers (and, in the case of this tour, circus performers) to distract from the fact that she brings very little to the table as a pop star. While all of these criticisms are true, they fail to state a very simple fact: some people just don't care about substance.

For some, the concept of substance versus spectacle has probably never even presented itself. The idea of a real live concert, with "real" performances by someone with "real" emotion has probably never occurred to them, and likely wouldn't appeal to them if it did. These were the kind of people at the Air Canada Centre last night.

This first became apparent during the opening set by the Pussycat Dolls. The five remaining Dolls were a very well-oiled machine. They worked their relatively small stage and bare bones set (sort of like Rent if it was set in a strip club and was about nothing of any consequence whatsoever), sent shout-outs to the crowd and put on a slick, shiny and professional performance

After decades of marketing by the Ringling Brothers, it's hard to hear the word “circus” without flashing on the phrase, “The Greatest Show on Earth.” Britney Spears' current tour could change that, however.

Dubbed “The Circus Starring Britney Spears,” it's a three-ring extravaganza that comes with all the bells and whistles. In addition to the usual array of dancers, video displays and costume changes, Spears added clowns, acrobats and even a magic act to her road show. High-tech and high-concept, it is a state-of-the-art spectacle, from the show-opening video sequence (featuring gossip blogger Perez Hilton in Elizabeth I drag) to the show-closing combination of fireworks and confetti cannons.

Yet for all that dazzle, there was precious little sizzle onstage at Toronto's Air Canada Centre Wednesday. Even though Spears always hit her mark, managing the complex choreography and constant costume changes with military precision, there was no sense of passion in her performance, none of the fire normally associated with star power.

Unlike Madonna or Michael Jackson, who at their best always seem somehow larger than life, Spears came off as, well, merely famous. And while that added a certain sass to Piece of Me, with its “I'm Mrs. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” refrain, it frankly wasn't enough to sustain a 90-minute extravaganza.

I hesitate to use the word “concert” here because, frankly, there wasn't a lot of music being performed during the show. Although Spears did have a small band tucked away on the west side of the centre ring, the bulk of what was heard came courtesy of pre-recorded tracks — and that included the vocals.

Apart from Every Time, which Spears sang while hanging from an oversized parasol, it was unclear how much of what came through the P.A. Wednesday was live Britney, and how much was tape. Certainly, she kept her lips moving. But there was nothing in her actions, in the way she moved or held her body, that seemed to convey the act of singing. Most of the time, she looked like a dancer acting out a recording.

Given the physical demands of the choreography — Me Against the Music, for example, literally had Spears running from one end of the stage to the other — it almost seems churlish to expect that she keep up with her dancers and sing decently, too. And she did at least keep up the pretense of vocalizing, which was more than could be said for her opening act, the Pussycat Dolls. Apart from Nicole Scherzinger, the Dolls for the most part didn't even bother pretending to sing, correctly assuming that dancing and preening were more important than musical proficiency.

The Pussycat Dolls' emphasis on strutting their stuff does raise one interesting point about the show, which was its curious approach to female sexuality. Between the stripper chic of the Dolls act (which, yes, included the obligatory dash of pole dancing) and the relentless kink of Britney's (the dancers kept turning up in bondage gear, and Spears had not one but two outfits featuring breast tassels), it would be easy to condemn the show for gratuitously objectifying the female form — which seems a bit odd, given that the audience was roughly 80 per cent female.

But as much as the staging stressed sex, there wasn't any heat to the bump and grind. Instead, the display of sexual attitude came off as a sort of muscle flexing, a show of strength rather than a come-on.

And in the end, that was perhaps the best thing about Spears' show. However scandalous her personal life may have been, she does manage to convey a generally positive message, something that keeps her Circus from descending to the level of empty spectacle. That may not be the greatest recommendation on earth, but it's still more than most pop tours deliver.

I know where the lovely sweet Britney is, She just had a totally hot stop on her Wiggle And Jiggle Tour and now she will bask in the sun and rest and be very sexy just like in Miami in the blue bikini with her perfect pretty boobies pushing out nicely.

The circus starring Britney Spears is a show that iss full of artistic people. She is the STAR but there is so much going on you would want to watch this show seeral times to see all that these people do to make this show such a huge success. They have managed to put together some of the most talented people and have done some of the most entertaining things in a pop concert than have ever been done. Britney is not copying anyone. She is doing her part of the show. She pays people to plan the moves. She just puts the hot and spice into them and the beauty. She is a one woman powerhouse and there is nothing you evil haters can do to stop the Circus. It is fun. I saw it in New Orleans. I wish I could see it in Dallas. I am trying to get tickets. It is worth seeing twice to take some more of it in.

Kohl's has admitted they took a Big risk with Spears. That's why it's only a short term deal. Her little concerts are only about 18,000 people, so I don't think there's much for Jive to brag about, at this time. Lindsay Lohan used to be famous for her acting and singing, these days the pop tart is known for her epic cat fights with her girlfriend and her drug and alcohol binges.

No matter how low you sink there's always a hapless individual who's in worse shape than you. Lohan can always turn up her freckled-face nose at the completely clueless Britney Spears.

Lindsay Lohan is a genuine artist, she's an excellent actress with an impressive resume. Britney on the other hand, can't sing or act or even lip sync. Kohl's Take Risk With Britney Spears

Kohl's has joined the Britney Spears circus.

Yes, that's a risk, given that Spears hasn't exactly been a stable personality in recent years. But some marketing experts say it might be worth it.

"I think since she's got a very hot album, as long as that stays nice and solid, it probably will work for Kohl's," said Jan Owens, associate professor of marketing at Carthage College in Kenosha.

Spears' comeback moved forward this week with the kickoff of her "Circus" tour in New Orleans and her first clothing sponsorship: for Candie's, a line of clothes carried exclusively by Menomonee Falls-based Kohl's Department Stores.

It's been a rough few years since Spears' last tour, in 2004. In that time, she's been married and divorced and had two children. For a time, she was on TV and in tabloids almost daily, with reports of drug abuse, a custody battle, pantyless partying and rehab. A California court appointed her father, Jamie Spears, to oversee her affairs indefinitely.

Yet over the past year, Spears' life and career have rebounded. Her "Circus" CD, released in December, has already sold more than 1.3 million copies, and she's had two hits off the CD, the No. 1 "Womanizer" and the top-five "Circus."

Spears' return has been carefully orchestrated, beginning with well-received appearances on the sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" last year to her comeback appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards last fall following her disastrous performance on the awards show in 2007. She has given few interviews, and those that have been granted have been heavily managed.

The Candie's brand appeals to girls younger than 18, a time when parents are still involved. "And parents are pretty turned off by the whole Britney Spears thing," Ries said.

James Pokrywczynski, associate professor of advertising and public relations at Marquette University, has mixed feelings about the Spears endorsement.

"There's the obvious risk of being associated with a controversial person like Britney," Pokrywczynski said. But the flip side is that Spears has a rebel image that young people like.

Kohl's is seen as a little more mellow in terms of its product offering than teen specialty stores such as Abercrombie, Pokrywczynski said. So the Spears alliance probably has some benefit to Kohl's, if the store wants to position itself as more edgy.

"A lot of celebrities have missteps," Pokrywczynski said. "But the ones who save themselves are the ones who straightened themselves out."

Emerging from under a white robe in the later part of the show to reveal a near-transparent sequin-covered bodysuit, Spears thrashed about in a bathtub while dancers simulated sex acts in various rooms of the hotel-themed backdrop.

Silhouettes of couples and threesomes could be seen as a fit young male dancer rubbed a red silk pillow about his nether-regions in the foreground.

The soft-core inspired choreography continued into the next song, Breathe on Me, in which the 22-year-old singer rolled about on a bed in her bra and panties under the watchful gaze of the same male dancer. The two ended up in a full, open mouthed kiss displayed on three giant video screens.

What drugs screw up someone’s mind, kill her soul, had to wander in loneliness and eventually death? The pharmaceutical company got away with it? Britney has to give up legal rights to her kids due to being a bad mum, highly medicated, her own parents who can only help out through a process call c-ship, bg, assistants, friends or even relatives who can’t be trusted for long as eventually they turned against her, looking for the right opportunities by going to court (since the court deem her as the bad woman and believe in anyone’s CRAP words, even those written by tabloids, media, internet blogs) and she has to live in threats for the rest of her life, either face with legal battle from ex-friends or ex-spouse using kids if she dare leaves her confinement!

After giving up custody of kids, papz suddenly disappeared or correctly termed, 1 threat down! After more than a year now with bad companies removed, she must live in medication for fear of all these legal threats, extortion through the legal rights of dragging a highly medicated woman to a court trial weekly, monthly and every other month like in 2007 from ex-friends (with no custody battle to fight) or the other through a process call c-ship – using her hard-earned $$ to pay expenses to everyone around her 3-10x more than what she was given.

A blogger (apparently seems to make himself like someone who knew Lynn Spears) wrote that everyone knew Lynn to be such a holy person and Jamie will never ended up as screw up as Britney (that was after her rehab). My point was you can’t count the chicks till they are hatched and that you don’t just dump someone to rehab over some partying, bad company and relied on rumours that BS, Paris and LL love to “get high”. Britney Spears's Air Canada Centre concert last night was innovative, entertaining and well-executed, but she had little to do with that.

It was a tricked-out, 90-minute splash that opened with real circus performers – jugglers, contortionists, a dwarf – and featured multimedia gimmicks, about two dozen dancers and themed sequences (Bollywood, martial arts, magic show, etc.).

Spears was more like a special guest than the star, often difficult to pinpoint among the (literally) smoke and masses on stage.

There were two noticeable differences from her last show here five years ago: far fewer preteens in the jammed-to-the-rafters arena; and the 27-year-old pop star is coasting on her previous glory.

Of the former, I guess parents are reluctant to take a chance given Spears's penchant for erratic, oversexed performances, though this outing is relatively chaste. Of the latter, the lip-synching is a given (though she did show off passable, if thin pipes on one tune), but where that was once justified by sustained, complex dance moves, Spears seems to think it's enough to remember to hit her marks.

She clearly knows the choreography, but is devoid of precision or fluidity, dipping in and out of routines to toss her hair and strut, safe in the knowledge that the dancers will maintain the momentum.

If she broke a sweat in the first half, it was from all the lighting and hurried costume changes (more than a dozen).

The sad irony of the whole ringmaster shtick is that we all know Spears is a golden goose who is not in control of anything offstage, including the phone calls she makes and when she sees her children.

The audience, some of whom paid up to $700, welcomed her enthusiastically, but once they got over "she's actually here!", they settled into the voyeurism that keeps Spears in the spotlight, silently watching, or critiquing her to each other, with little dancing or singing along.

Nine dates into a three-month tour, it is to her credit that she's been able to get back to business after all the personal turmoil. It took Mariah Carey longer and Whitney Houston and Lauryn Hill are still AWOL.

It's just too bad that she has evolved from singer to dancer to wind up as a prop in her own show.

She went to Tribe for a PAID $50 per ticket to see her walk in there and stay 30 minutes and most of that time was spent walking in and having her photographs taken. Her dancers partied and took photos with some of the clubbers and it was all pre-planned months ago before the tour started. She looked gorgeous as she was escorted in by her security team and I can assure you she did not drink any alcohol. She then left and went to New York City. Well stated!!! But the problem with your statement is that many adults in the world are HIGHLY MEDICATED and as many more have the PSYCHOLOGICAL BEHAVIOR of CHILDREN. You can not stop things that were put into play in this world decades before the births of the adults of today. The problems with people today is the desentization that occurred over the last 4 decades. Since cable television and internet became affordable for everyone. You might lock a child out of a computer but they learn to get in them anyway or parents just give up. You can lock a child out of programming not suited for them but (many don't) and even if they do commercials are inappropriate, even PSA's are inappropriate. Society as a whole is part of the problem. Paying hundreds and thousands to see Britney and others stars shake their ass in skimpy clothes is an example of this. Voyeurism is what it is. Opening the show with THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS. What does that imply??? I like Britney and I like some of her music when I can hear her sing especially when she was really young. She is interesting psychologically to me. I am intrigued watching her do what she is conditioned to do, be a sexy puppet. The problem is when you create a Britney doll and the show is over she is conditioned to perform and her brain does not know where to put the extra energy when the theatre is dark. I think the person who wrote that meant that a crazy person is not in touch with reality or perhaps is in the state of psychosis when they commit suicide. Adnan Ghalib is a victim of his own selfishness. I’ll add my 2 cents to the ongoing discussion.

Britney knew Adnan was a paparazzo when she got involved with him (and stayed involved with him). Adnan knew Britney was damaged when he got involved with her (and stayed involved with her). They both knew Sam’s history when they formed a secretive alliance with him. They ALL used each other!

Once the court issued the restraining order, Adnan should have accepted service. Instead, he's facing three felony charges for slamming his car into a process server. He will be held accountable for his actions in court. He didn’t challenge the temporary restraining order in court. It has been made permanent (3 years).

Britney didn’t assume responsibility for setting these events in motion by contacting Sam and Adnan with the pre-paid cell phone. He’s facing criminal charges and possibly seven years in prison. I doubt he and his friends will let her walk away from her role in the “Free Britney” nonsense. I fully expect them to disclose the nature of her involvement and anything else they think may help him.

Sam filed a civil lawsuit for breach of contract. Her father responded by hiring the legal equivalent of Swat Team! From the court documents: "The law firm of Bird, Marella engages solely in the practice of complex civil and white collar criminal litigation".

Sam may (or may not) be looking at white collar criminal litigation in the future. But Sam could be even more dangerous to her and her family. He told Rolling Stone, Britney told him her story. He took dictation for a book. This could get very ugly before it‘s over!

I do not disagree with your statements either. Im not sure that the process server incident is completely cut and dried, but the situation does not look good for Adnan. Her failure to back him up following the issuing of the TRO (or her team's prevention of her support) has likely resulted in him turning against her. His failure to challenge the permanent RO seems to support this. His cohorts appear to be holding the phone recordings for future use. It will be interesting to see what they reveal.

Lutfi's possession of her "story" will be another layer of damage for The Machine. Was the dictation written? Tape recorded? Caught on video? And is the dictation going to be used in his upcoming documentary?

I would not trust Sam’s “signed documents” without authentication. Even if her signature is authentic, she lacks the capacity to sign any legally binding document.

This isn’t the first time she tried to get out of the conservatorship. In 2008, she tried using attorney, Adam Streisand. It failed. The court ruled she lacked the capacity to hire an attorney and he was “a lawyer with out client”. Then she tried using an unnamed paparazzo as intermediary between her and Jon Eardley. It failed again for the same reasons. Those calls were recorded and a transcript was given to Ok! Magazine.

I think all her calls with Sam and Adnan were probably recorded and will be released soon too.

One more note:

If Britney had a grievance with her court-appointed legal counsel, she had the right to speak with Goetz in chambers and request new court-appoint counsel. These new legal problems are another example of how Britney hasn’t changed and how she creates these problems for herself and others. All of this could (and should) have been avoided.

You’re absolutely correct about the timeline and the sense of urgency being consistent with the court documents. The Machine (and the individuals within) can be criticized for many things but describing her as “cunning and manipulative” isn’t one of them. They should know, shouldn‘t they? She was taught to be a habitual liar when she was young. She has consistently created unnecessary problems in her life and others. Until recently, she has been able to walk away because the Machine was able to intervene and suppress information. But they can’t control the follow of information arising from the felony trial or civil lawsuit. This is going to get interesting!

There seems to be a pattern to her behavior. She creates a problem for herself and/or others, She says she is taking responsibility then doesn’t. She claims she’s not a victim then she blames “the bad people” while simultaneously seeking public sympathy for being victimized by “the bad people“.

Does she ever learn from her bad decisions?

Someone suggested once (I think it was Pola Bear!) that Brit should, from here on in, stop sharing anything personal with those around her (e.g. self-written songs, etc.) and I think she's right. Brit's contracts should be expiring once this tour is over. If she's smart, she'd take the money she makes from this tour, invest it wisely, and then withdraw from the business. THEN, if she still wants to continue on, she could slowly start to step out on her own, free of The Machine. She'll never be able to be the pop star that The Machine made her into...But something tells me that Brit would be happy with that.

One other bit to consider about Halperin. He got in deep and fooled EVERYONE! The machine must fear him more than any others involved. He out grifted the grifters and probably has enough to nail anyone he chooses. They can't control him and fighting him will only bring out more dirt. He is beyond a loose cannon and there's not much they could intimidate him with, especially since he actively documented what he was doing. He is more dangerous to them than Scam, Adnuts, or pretty much anyone else. Hence the Tsar Bomba reference. He can pop it off remotely anytime of his choosing and he doesn't sound like he could be shut up with negotiations or threats. He can bide his time until the right moment comes, whenever time that may be. What we've seen so far is probably a fart in a hurricane compared to what he has ready and he's had time to think about it while others spin their wheels.

The WEG lawsuit would seem to be more bothersome and just a question of whether to spend money paying them out, or hiring lawyers expensive enough to fight it. They can't claim total vistory against them in this lawsuit, as whatever they do will just end up costing them more money in legal fees and isn't likely to belch up anything very surprising. Trip was great, except for a buddy scuffing up his bike (badly-trailered back to town) and random parts of his anatomy (minor stuff, no ER visit needed). He was in great pain over dropping a $30k + completely custom bike (a Confederate) because he rode well over his skill level than anything else. Despite major damage to pride and wallet, all will ride again. It was still a great trip overall! Maybe more later. Night!

Judging by his song and movie selections, I think he and I may be very close in age. He uses the lyrics of the songs or themes of the movies to communicate his meaning - both disguising his identity and communicating to only those who "get" it. I may have been picking up things from him that older (or younger) people did not because he and I shared a common dialogue - growing up during the same time frame. His background is much different from mine (race, social class), but my current project has given me a bit of insight into that life.

If our "hero" was used by The Machine to get her to talk to the cameras, then unceremoniously dumped, the pilots of the mothership would've begun to question the authenticity of the project. And they did. Her bodyguard/cameraman has been the subject of discussions for quite a while. It sounds like his firing may have been directly related to allowing her to use his phone to contact our "hero." But who knows. Just what I gleaned from the conversation.

The importance of those reckless nights came into sharper focus while watching the documentary. She spoke about falling in love and the failure of her marriage. I don’t know whether his attorney can use this information at trial because it does not excuse the felonious acts. But it may be used in a trial by public opinion in the media. We’ll find out soon. She is a simple-minded woman with complex problems. Many people seem to identify with one of her problems and deny the others exist. I have given up trying to explain self-absorption, substance abuse and mental illness are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Others have tried and given up too.

My empathy ended when she willingly contacted her ‘former manager‘ because she wanted to circumvent the process and regain her freedom. It appears like she didn’t give a second thought to the impact it would have on her children. If she had succeeded and the conservatorship ended, it would not change the terms of the custody agreement. It stipulates monitored visitation because she cannot be trusted to be alone with the children. Did she think her ex-husband and his attorney would allow unmonitored visitation or she would be able to successfully petition the court for joint custody once it was known she was associating with her ‘former manager‘ again? It’s doubtful. She knows the man has threatened to physically harm other people and has multiple restraining against him. I question whether her ‘plans’ to remarry, have more babies and build a new life included her sons. If she did believe she could persuade her ex-husband, his attorney and the court, how self-absorbed and ignorant is this woman? She has a history of treating small animals, men and children like accessories that can be discarded when they become an inconvenience. The sad truth is she only truly loves herself.

Bought their first album the day it came out, but haven't listened to them since. Will hopefully return to "real" music again when I have a less-serious project to work on. Serious projects = ear candy. Fluffy projects = real music.

Right now I'm heavy into Lady Gaga. But FF will soon be on the docket. ;)

Serious work = real music

Unwinding after serious work = listening to real music while reading entertainment blogs. ;)

I have always been curious about what happened immediately before and after Crossroads. The importance of those reckless nights came into sharper focus while watching the documentary. She spoke about falling in love and the failure of her marriage. She avoided discussing why she denuded her scalp.

There were benefits to continuing to participate in the discussion at the mothership. A great amount of research was done and it was quite revealing...Or at least it could be revealing. It needs to be put into a form that brings all of the research together and connects some dots.

I believe the alliances being made between her parents/management/ex-husband left her isolated and drove her into desperation on many occasions. Due to these business alliances, she was left with little in the way of an emotional support system when dealing with her divorce, and acting out in ways that others in a similar situation would not.

I have a feeling the weeks leading up to rehab set a whole course of events in motion that are still impacting the situation today.

I'm looking forward to seeing whether Halperin can shed more light on this time period!

Our Writer appeared to be a good friend of Our Hero, so I'm guessing their ages could be similar. The median age of the first three is equal to mine. So, yes, I may have picked up on a few things that others did not - or at least related to how they might make decisions...Even if those decisions turned out poorly! LOL

I'm guessing his lawyer is going to use the argument that Our Hero was unaware that the person he hit was actually a process server, and that he instead thought the man was in the alley to accost him in some way.

Does that excuse him from hitting him? No. But it may lesson the severity of the outcome.

I compared and contrasted the civil lawsuit with the ‘theorizing’ on the mothership. The lawsuit reads like it was inspired in part by the commentary on the 2008 restraining order declaration and deconstruction of the book. There was no way of predicting this would be the outcome but it underscores the need to be careful when discussing the pending civil lawsuit. If necessary, redouble your earlier efforts while discussing the pending felony trial (e.g. I‘m not a lawyer). Don’t let anyone create the false impression you were performing pro bono legal research...because you weren’t!

The alliance appeared to fall apart quite quickly. Thankfully. The whole idea of it was appalling to me. There was more than one reason the Peter Falk story nuked the fridge (besides the writer being FRESH). It clearly aligned them with the Known Predator. It's one thing to consult him for information, but quite another to publicly support him or to work with him in any way. It was a very unwise move.

I read your outstanding comments this afternoon. You obviously understood when I said her recent behavior could jeopardize monitored visitation (see 03/27/09 at 5:15 AM). If she didn’t have a history of trying to circumvent the process, this would be a more solid argument: ‘How is she supposed to start acting like an adult when she’s talked to and treated like a child?)’ This is the opposing argument: Why would they start treating her like an adult when she continues to talk and act like a child? Something to consider.

The courts informed Streisand and Eardley she lacked the capacity to retain counsel. When Eardley and Lutfi tried to involve Andersen, the new attorney was unaware he was being asked to become another “lawyer without a client“. Andersen only learned about the impediment after speaking with a Luce Forward attorney. The alliance still has not acknowledged Andersen filed a declaration in support of the temporary restraining orders.

Consequently, every word in these stories has been wrapped in deceit.
