I just wanted to comment on the OK article. I give Jamie Spears a lot of support for admitting that he is an alcoholic, (he hasn’t drank for years, now), and stating that he believes his addiction helps him understand Britney’s addiction(s).

I believe that there are two problems with the article. First, it is really dangerous to let the public know the specifics of the details of children of the very wealthy, when and where they will be at any specific time, date or place. This was released in the article. It scares me that some nut job knows where those kids are, at any given time.

Secondly, it was very disappointing that she didn’t apologize to her fan base in any way, and doesn’t acknowledge that anything was “wrong” in the past two years.

I agree with you that she should never have those kids by herself. Not that she is a bad mother; she is a sick mother. As for an apology to her fan base, I don't think she is aware of the damage that has been done. An apology would have been verbalized by her but worded from her management. When she (if) she gets well, a sincere apology would be diplomatic but unnecessary. There is no reason to apologize for illness.

I’m not so sure that she has classic mental illness problems, but I’m pretty certain that drug abuse was the main cause of her downfall. She certainly fits: too much money; too little brains, or common sense; and “there must be more” syndrome.
