Regardless of Britney's performance, Sarah Silverman should be held to the same standards as other celebrities - Hello, Don Ismus and it was more offensive than the infamous "wardrobe malfunction"!! Didn't Britney hear what she said about Paris Hilton at the awards show Paris attended just before going to jail? It was not Brit's best performance. But for going through what she did and having two kids in 2 years. I think it was a good performance. She is on her way back slowly but she will get there; I have a lot of faith in her. I think it is sad how some people are angry with their lives and go out of their way to be so negative. Maybe they are angry because they work 9 to 5 jobs and are not celebrities; so when they see a rich successful woman make mistakes it makes them happy in a sick or jealous way. I don't know the real reason why people behave that way but that's what I came up with.

This is going to come down to credibility and unforunately Britney Spears has none. Sarah Silverman (sp?) may be viewed by some as mean or callous, but at least she didn't make an ass of herself on stage and doesn't do it on a daily basis in front of the media.

What Sarah Silverman said was awful and she should be ashamed. However, Britney is supposed to be a professional and rise above. The truth is that she committed to something she really didn't want to do. If she really intended to kick butt she would have got her hair sorted out this weekend and got some rest, instead of partying it up.

I think people are really ticked off because she walked around that stage giving a shitty performance but expected everyone to kiss her butt for it. It was an insult to MTV, her peers and her fans.
