Brittany Murphy's Husband Cancels Foundation Launch Due To "Family Illness"

Simon Monjack, husband of the late Brittany Murphy, has cancelled tomorrow night's memorial and scheduled launch for The Brittany Murphy Foundation, citing "family illness."
Guests, who were asked to donate $1,000 for an individual, $10,000 for a company, were notified of the cancellation by e-mail.
"So sorry but the memorial has been canceled due to an illness in the
family. Â I'll let you know when they postpone it for," read the letter.
Simon Monjack had been highly criticized for the event which was planned just a little more than a month after Murphy's death, with many people accusing him of trying to profit off the passing of his late wife.
Perhaps that had more to do with it than this mysterious "illness!"
