Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack, who died just five months after his movie-star wife, passed away from pneumonia and severe anemia, says an LA County coroner spokesperson.

Ironically, Simon passed away in the same house as his deceased wife, and like Brittany, was found by Murphy's mother Sharon. Some prescription drugs were also found in his system, but not enough to be lethal, according to CNN.

Brittany Murphy's cause of death was due to a combination of pneumonia, an iron deficiency and multiple drug intoxication.

Not so surprising but a little bit eerie!

The mother was there when both of them died....hmmmm

i find this case very strange and extremely sad, i cant believe they are both gone.depressive

Just like her? Umm how can it be they both had a series of health problems besides taking several different prescription meds? This does not add up. Too crazy. And very sad.

hhmm..they need to investigate this more. There is NO WAY they could both have died from pneumonia and severe anemia. Men don't menstruate! They were taking something that brought this on.

This is either a crazy, tragic and coincidental love story.....or something very evil.
I do not know which one it is.

I have pernicous anemia...I take B12 shots for it...I guess no one told them to take shots in order to live!! So times money, fame and fortune does not buy you everything...I choose to live...I take my B12 shots...

People can and Do die of pneumonia in this day and age, even young people.

One of my friends died in a hosptal in Switzerland of pneumonia and he was only 22

it's weird.. maybe the mother have something to do about it. both die because of the same and the mother found them both.

whatever they were taking probably lowered their immune system plus messed up their blood. too much of a coincidence.

I wonder if any tests were done for the presence of carbon monoxide in their home. Chronic carbon monoxide poisoning (low level exposure over time) can cause anemia.

High doses of anything with magnesium can lower iron in the blood and make someone anemic. A new study shows that magnesium can be used to curb the cravings for opiods and possibly cocaine.

Untreated pneumonia is deadly.

What went wrong on The X Factor today with Britney Spears?

Britney definitely had another meltdown. This is proof she's not ready to step back into the spotlight!
I think Britney may have overreacted to a bad audition, but it will be entertaining to watch later!
I think Simon Cowell planned this all along. Brit probably even rehearsed it!
