No Illegal Drugs Found In Brittany Murphy's System
We already knew that drugs were present in Brittany Murphy's system the day she died, and now the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has released a report listing the exact medications, all of which appear to be over the counter medications.
A spokeperson from the Coroner's office released this information to the press:
- "Multiple medications were present in the blood, with elevated levels of hydrocodone, acetaminophen, and chlorpheniramine. L-methamphetamine was also present ... It should be noted that the pattern of use of these medications suggest treatment of symptoms of a cold or other respiratory infection. Acetaminophen and hydrocodone are components of Vicodin. Chlorpheniramine is the active ingredient in some over-the-counter medications. L-methamphetamine is a component of some inhalers."
Murphy died on December 20 after collapsing at her Hollywood Hills home, and the Coroner's office previously determined that the cause of death was pneumonia with prescription drug intoxication as a secondary factor.
So sad.
