Police Investigate Murphy's Death, Prescription Drugs May Be Partially Responsible
Posted on Mon Dec 21, 2009 08:20 AM PDT

As Brittany Murphy's autopsy gets underway today, a report that the star was "sick and vomiting" before her death as well as claims that she was taking prescription drugs may give clues as to what ultimately caused the 32-year-old's tragic death.
"There were a lot ... a lot of prescriptions in the house," a source tells TMZ, saying the scripts belonged to not just Brittany, but husband Simon Monjack and mother Sharon Murphy.
Some of the prescriptions could have been to treat the "flu-like" symptoms the starlet was apparently suffering from at the time of her death.
Police have said at this time they do not suspect foul play.
Murphy seemed upbeat and positive about the new year in her last public appearance, telling Access Hollywood, "As far as having a New Year's resolution, I'd love to have a child next year."
So sad, but prescription drugs can be just as dangerous as illegal ones!
