Burt Reynolds Checks Into Rehab

burtrehab.jpg

Wow, it's still the place to be!

Actor Burt Reynolds' manager Erik Kritzer released a statement today that the 73-year-old was struggling with an addiction to painkillers after a recent back surgery and "realized that he was in the prison of prescription pain pills."

Reynolds then checked into a rehab facility in West Palm Beach...

This all started after the National Enquirer reported that the actor had gone to rehab for "alcohol and pills" after being found "semiconscious and covered in blood from a fall at his home."

Hmm, but what's the truth?

Maybe it's all related?

Pain pills have become the easy excuse for everything. It's ridiculous. Stop demonizing pain pills. Now celebrities are going to blame prescription drugs because it sounds more legit than street drugs???

Rx drugs provide a serious medical purpose for chronic pain and other disease victims. Not everyone gets addicted, there is too much hysteria and misinformation. This guy is an alcoholic and who knows what else. Alcohol is the biggest addiction problem. That should be outlawed, it serves NO medical purpose.

A recent string of bad movies and bad personal decisions is catching up to old Burt. Hang in there fella, there remains time to redeem yourself and earn that Oscar. Go get 'em!

"in the prison of prescription pain pills"......... Who writes this stuff?

Wasn't he already on pills and booze back in the day when he cheated on his then wife Lonie Anderson?
He made the mistake of a lifetime then and has been reaping the consequences ever since.

These high profile people are a very small percentage of people taking the pain meds and make it very difficult for the majority of people taking pain meds responsibly for chronic pain. Journalists should point this out when reporting these stories!

I like the 1st " The Longest Yard" with Burt Reynolds, I think it's funnier with better stars. Good thing that Burt didn't suffer the "Deliverance" squeal like a pig attack, otherwise he really would need some painkillers and sauve.LOL. Get well Burt Reynolds, you're the Man!!!

Yeah, I like Burt Reynolds or did like or something like that, anyways, we bumped into each other and, well, he lied, he doesn't have 10 inches, maybe half that and maybe half that. Maybe it was drunk, it collasped. Hahaha.
