Palin put herself through college, ran a state to universal acclaim (and balanced that state's budget), raised a large family, and ran for VP (and could well be our next president). If ever there was a role model for young American women, it's Sarah Palin.

If it were just the question she answered at the pageant (a loaded question asked by a self-promoting idiot, in my opinion), I would have no problem with Carrie Prejean – She was asked her opinion, and she answered it honestly. Although I don’t happen to agree with her point of view, she’s free to have her own opinion and express it, and I don’t feel that it reflected badly on her character.

I *do* have a problem with practically everything that she’s done since, which not only reflects badly on her character, but calls into question if she actually *has* any.
