Carrie Underwood would like to set the record straight that she's not a sociopath!

The country superstar graces the June cover of Marie Claire and talks about how her upbringing shaped her hard exterior. The singer admitted that she's not very emotional.

"I'm not a mushy person at all," she told the mag. "We were never a huggy family. Or a 'let's talk it out' family. Technically I have siblings, but they are quite a bit older than me. I was the accident, so I have the only-child syndrome going on. I'm a little more selfish, a little more independent, a little closed. I do wish I were softer. I wish I were able to form relationships better. But hey, I mean, I'm not a sociopath."

Underwood, who's married to hockey player Mike Fisher, said her husband calls her "the queen of awkward moments." Underwood doesn't see any kids in their near future, but always knew she would wed "a hot guy." She wrote a series of goals in her high school yearbook and has accomplished all of them and then some.

"You were supposed to say what you would be doing in 10 years, and I said, 'I will be rich, famous, and married to a hot guy," she said. "I guess I should have added a few more things!" This includes portraying Maria von Trapp this holiday season in NBC's live version of The Sound of Music.

Unsentimental, awkward, and self-confident, huh? That's far from her shy country girl image, but it's something we can definitely get behind.

Carrie Underwood hit the stage with fellow country singer Brad Paisley to host the CMA Awards, and these two have the best sense of humor!

During the opening monologue, the two poked fun at Taylor Swift's breakup with Conor Kennedy. The "We Are Never Getting Back Together" singer, who was in the audience, seemed to approve ... giving the cameras a smile. Whew! The moment is at the 2-minute mark.

Carrie Underwood covers the June 2012 issue of Glamour magazine, and the 29-year-old dishes on everything from her music to her marriage. The "Before He Cheats" crooner revealed:

On her new album, Blown Away:

"There's a happy-go-lucky feeling to some of it: A nice spring day, put the top down, turn it up, enjoy the world. But there's a darker feeling too. We kill a couple people. It wouldn't be a Carrie Underwood album without a revenge song on it. People really like when I do that. I don't mean to. I don't hate men that much. But it turns out so well!"

On being in a relationship with her husband, Mike Fisher, in the public eye:

"A plus is, he knew what to expect. In Canada he was a big celebrity, so he knows what it's like living under a microscope. And he travels a lot, which is good for both of us. We're both independent people, so we can't have somebody around 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The drawback is that we can go weeks without seeing each other. But he's the only guy I've never had to worry about. Any guy I've ever dated, there would always be that doubt: 'He didn't answer his phone. What's he doing? It's late.' I'm not the crazy-girlfriend type, but there was a little voice in the back of my head. I don't have to worry about Mike. I don't think twice. He's going out? I don't care; it doesn't bother me. I don't bat an eye."

On whether or not she could write a country song about her fame and fortune:

"With no irony? I don't think so, because country music is for real people. I think it would be very hard to write about my Louboutins. Do you know what I mean? My giant house, it's not relatable. But my husband came from a small town and hardworking parents like I did, and I don't think we've lost the mind-set. We don't have a bowling alley in our basement. We don't have houses on the beach and one in New York and one in L.A. I drive a three-year-old Ford Escape Hybrid. We don't care about stuff like that."

Carrie Underwood's rep has shot down reports that the country star is expecting her first child with husband Mike Fisher.

"Carrie is not pregnant," her rep tells Us Weekly.

Underwood previously told the mag, "Everybody, like, is on this baby bandwagon, I don't know what the deal is. But I would really like to figure out what it's like to be married first, and I know he would too."

At the time, Underwood told ABC's Robin Roberts that plans for a baby were on hold. Carrie said, "We just want to be together and keep it as simple as possible. And I think a baby would just make things so complicated right now."

Guess someone had change of heart. Underwood revealed to Self Magazine that when it comes to kids, "Two is good. Three is fine. Four? Somebody’s getting something done because we ain’t having five!”

Carrie Underwood has already conquered the country music charts, and now the blonde beauty is giving acting a try in the feature film Soul Surfer.

As for Underwood, she plays a church youth leader who helps the injured surfer gain the confidence to get back into the water.

The trailer is filled with great surfing footage ... very reminiscent of Kate Bosworth's Blue Crush, however it's surprising that there is no mention of a shark attack.

Guess we'll have to see how that scary shark encounter is addressed in the final cut of the film.

Soul Surfer, also starring Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt, hits theaters on April 8.

And former MTV and VH1 VJ Lala Vaquez tied the knot with NBA star Carmelo Anthony at Cipriani's in New York. New Miami player LeBron James was in attendance as were director Spike Lee, Wimbledon winner Serena Williams, our favorite reality star (and Lala's BFF) Kim Kardashian, and rapper Ludacris.
