Carrie Underwood Hits The Beach For Big Screen Debut Soul Surfer

Carrie Underwood has already conquered the country music charts, and now the blonde beauty is giving acting a try in the feature film Soul Surfer.

As for Underwood, she plays a church youth leader who helps the injured surfer gain the confidence to get back into the water.
The trailer is filled with great surfing footage ... very reminiscent of Kate Bosworth's Blue Crush, however it's surprising that there is no mention of a shark attack.
Guess we'll have to see how that scary shark encounter is addressed in the final cut of the film.
Soul Surfer, also starring Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt, hits theaters on April 8.

Ms. Underwood says she will never visit Montreal after her car was recently vandalised. I hope her hockey husband gets traded from Ottawa to Montreal and her next film that she sucks in is filmed in Montreal! I hope Karma bites ur white trash ass Mrs. Fisher!

Carrie is a nice person and so talented. Whomever is trashing her in Montreal needs to take a chill pill. Carrie was kidding in her comment, and last time I checked, she was robbed there, so who wouldn't feel that way? No need to take cheap personl shots at her. Carrie is hardly white trash when she graduated college magnga cum laude, anonymous. Perhaps you should learn some class yourself though.
Carrie was the victim of a crime on Montreal, not the villain, "anonymous." Why are you trashing her for being robbed in your city? Isn't that kind of hypocritical? If I visit there and get beat up, will I be attacked by you too?
I think its funny how people who sing automatically assume they can act. This is gonna be as bad as Mariah's Glitter and Xtina's Burlesque.
