Cate Has Something To Hide!

I adore Cate Blanchett - she's an amazing actress, she's pretty cute, and she seems like a nice lady. But kiss me Cate? Not so fast! The Oscar-winner was spotted in Santa Monica the other day with a monstrous cold sore on her pretty lips.
I would say, it happens to the best of us, but really, it doesn't happen to all us. And I feel bad, really I do, but if you have a cold sore and you're a celeb, it's probably not a good idea to go out in public.
Unless of course you want us to take your picture and write about it. Sorry Cate.

Well, Anonymous, you must not realize that you have Herpes Simplex 1, which you contracted by having oral sex with someone that had Herpes Simplex 2 or your were making out with someone that had HS 1 that THEY got from someone with the Herp. Looks like Cate has been screwing with Tom Cruise, too, since both "Kate" and Nicole have been sporting their own Herps.
I've personally never had a cold sore in my life but I can tell that it totally sucks to have one but I don't think it means people should stay in their houses and hide. What's ugly to me is all the "Cold Sore Watch" posts that have been on here latley w/ the extreme close ups. Thankfully ya'll like Cate, otherwise you'd be insinuating that she had the herp.

Herpes Zoster is CHICKEN POX , it can later reappear as shingles. Herpes simplex 1 (appears as cold sores) exists in about 70% of the population -30 % show symptoms occasionally. HS1 is extremely contagious and can be contracted through something as simple as a shared glass.
Herpes Simplex 2 is genital herpes (don't have all the stats on that one)- spread primarily through sexual contact.
