It's About Time!

Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett looked thrilled the other day as she got her very own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The actress gave a short speech, and she was congratulated by Steven Spielberg afterwards. We're just wondering what took 'em so long - Cate is an amazing actress and we think she should have gotten some sidewalk recognition a long time ago!
Better late than never, right?

The Stars are purchased, usually by studios. There are some weird people who have gotten them, and it's not based on talent, hence many great actors don't have them, because they won't agree to attend the hokey ceremony.

Oh yes, I know its kind of old now, but I did just recently see the movie where she played The Queen. She is absolutely fantastic. A really great actress. I will definitely be watching for more of her work.
