Charlie Sheen shot a Direct TV commercial in Los Angeles yesterday, and the actor appeared to be in great spirits when he took a quick smoke break.

Sheen chatted briefly with photogs, and he revealed that he's rocking a bathrobe because he's going to be in a jacuzzi for the video spot. Hmm, wonder if there's going to be any goddesses in there with him?

How can you not smile, when you're collecting a hefty paycheck to wear a robe, and smoke cigarettes, and generally just be yourself for a few hours?

Chrarlie Sheen was having a blast on the set of his newest Direct TV commercial in LA, even taking a break to joke around with the crew, on Friday afternoon.

The former Two and a Half Men star is gearing up to begin shooting his upcoming TV comedy, Anger Management, in which he'll play a former baseball player with rage issues, who then becomes an unconventional anger management counselor.

Sheen is currently looking to cast roles for his new show, and he has just one lady in mind: Selma Blair. He told Access Hollywood this week, "She's a strong front runner and she's a very special lady and I think as pretty as the day is long and she has never really had the opportunity to do something where she can really shine. Off camera she's hilarious."

While Charlie Sheen has praised Ashton Kutcher for his work on Two and a Half Men, it's a bit of a backhanded compliment, as the actor has also made it clear that he thinks the show should end after this year.

"I've done what he's done," Sheen told the New York Post at a TV convention in Miami today. "I've replaced a guy [Michael J. Fox on Spin City]. It's so f***ing hard, you can't believe it. It's all you're thinking about, and you're surrounded by these ghosts. So, hats off to him for doing the best job that he can."

That being said, Sheen still thinks it's time to put the show to rest. "I don't think they should go on past this year. I don't think that [Kutcher's] working with the best writing because Chuck is doing too many shows. He and Jon [Cryer] and Angus [T. Jones] deserve better material. They deserve what I had for the first five years. I don't want to harp on them. Let the clueless stay clueless. I was a puppet there for ratings. But, whatever -- I don't care. I've moved on, and whatever they're doing there is none of my business."

Charlie Sheen is currently in Miami, and the actor was spotted enjoying a smoke and a beverage at the Fontainebleau Hotel's pool yesterday. Hmm, that doesn't exactly look like a soda either! Maybe it's tiger blood?

In other news, Sheen is set to return to the small screen this June in his new FX series, Anger Management, and he recently spoke to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush about which leading lady might star opposite him on the show. ”[Selma Blair] is a strong frontrunner," Charlie said. "She’s a very special lady and is as pretty as the day is long and has never really had the opportunity to do something where she can shine, because off camera she’s hilarious. I think [she’s] one of the prettiest women in Hollywood.” Aww!

So what about his real life leading lady? Charlie says, “I don’t have a girlfriend, no, but I’m having a good time." Party on!

After spending time with ex-wife Denise Richards and their daughters Sam and Lola over the holidays, Charlie Sheen is ready to get back to work!

At last night's Fox TCAs, Sheen told reporters that he's in a much better place mentally and he's eager to get started on his new show, Anger Management. "I'm not crazy any more. That was an episode," Sheen said. "I think I'm a different person than I was yesterday. Everything is a lot more mellow and focused and much more rooted in reality."

Anger Management begins shooting in March, and though Sheen and his co-producers have yet to cast the major roles on the show, showrunner Bruce Helford told the press, “Everyone in the world calls to say they want to do that show. Everyone wants to come in and play a therapy patient.” As for Sheen’s character, it will be “considerably more complex” than any of his previous roles, according to Helford. Sheen added to THR, "I just wanted to do a show and play a character that dealt with more mature themes and stuff that actually exists in the real world. A lot of times on the other show I felt like we were servicing the comedy and not allowing it to come out of character situations."

"I've been at this 30 years," Sheen continued. "It's nice to be in a situation where the people I'm working with are excited about my input. That wasn't the case for a long time." While that seems like a bit of a dig at his former Two and a Half Men crew, Sheen isn't opposed to making peace with former boss Chuck Lorre. "At some point we are going to have to get some closure there," he added.

Charlie Sheen looks like he's having a blast with ex wife Denise Richards and their two girls Sam, 7, and Lola, 6.

The foursome were all smiles while swimming with the dolphins at an undisclosed tropical location. What a holiday vacation!

Sheen, 46, posted the above photo and the following:

"Just when we thought the trip couldn't get any better... we met Nuna..!!"

We're assuming "Nuna" is the dolphin's name. Adorbs!

Denise's baby daughter Eloise, not with the family on this excursion, is also on vacation with them. Definitely a Christmas to remember!

Charlie Sheen won't be spending this Christmas alone. The former Two and a Half Men star is on holiday vacation with four ladies: ex-wife Denise Richards, daughters Sam and Lola and Denise's recently adopted daughter Eloise.

Sheen, 46, posted the above photos on his WhoSay account along with the following:

"What's better than a modern family vacation!?! love spending winter break w/ @denise_richards & my kids!"

Their vacation destination has remained under wraps. On her blog, Richards, 40, writes:

"[We spend] Christmas morning opening presents with the kids. Then Christmas dinner at our house -- this year it will be all of us. Many of my friends can't get home, they come for dinner as well."

Denise adds, "I can’t wait for her[Eloise] first picture with Santa!" We can't either!

Flashing his golden smile, and a few missing teeth, Charlie Sheen was in good spirits as he left the Giorgio Baldi restaurant with a few friends in Santa Monica, on Tuesday evening.

The former Two and a Half Men star has been keeping a relatively low profile in comparison to ex-wife Brooke Mueller, who recently checked herself back into rehab after being arrested in Aspen, Colorado, for intent to distribute four grams of cocaine, and assault.

When we asked if Sheen had any plans to visit his ex, he told us exclusively:

"No, I'm going to let her take her time right now. She's doing good though."

Sheen reportedly paid the $11,000 bail for Brooke, and cut his Colombian vacation short to retain custody of their two-year-old twin sons, Max and Bob, after the incident took place early this month.

Mueller, 34, most recently completed a 45-day rehab program for substance abuse problems in July. She is due back in court Dec. 19
