Charlie Sheen Talks About Not Being Able To "Put Out The Fire"

Charlie Sheen is speaking out to Matt Lauer about his troubled year full of rehab, goddesses, a firing from Two and A Half Men ... and bizarre hotel encounters.
Sheen, 46, who admits he's a "bit calmer" these days, tells NBC's anchor:
- "I don't really know what happened. It was one of those things where the planets were aligned, perfectly or imperfectly. I said some stuff and then it caught such traction globally and instantly that I couldn't really put out the fire."
The actor says he's "seeing my kids a lot more, mending fences with Denise and Brooke." Does he have any regrets? Sheen adds:
- "Looking back on it, I don't think I would trade it, but there are portions of it I would have amended a little bit. I don't know, the tiger blood [thing], it was so silly and people took it so seriously and I figured, alright, I'll continue to give the people what they want, you know?"
The full interview airs this Friday on The Today Show.
Do you think Charlie is on the right path?
