Report: John Stamos In Talks To Replace Charlie Sheen On Two And A Half Men

CBS chief Les Moonves is apparently pursuing John Stamos to replace Charlie Sheen on his hit comedy, Two and a Half Men.
Stamos previously denied reports that he would be replacing Sheen on the show last week, tweeting, "Contrary to the rumors, i am not replacing charlie sheen on two and half men."
But Stamos and Moonves had a long chat on Saturday about replacing Sheen after the network shut down production "based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition," reports E!
Sources say that the two first talked Friday night at Jeffrey Katzenberg's party at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
They were at the bar talking and Les asked John if he'd be interested in replacing Charlie," says the source. "It wouldn't be to play Charlie's character but they talked more about introducing a new character."
Stamos initially found success on the ABC series Full House. He was most recently a series regular on ER, and has made several guest appearances on Glee, playing Jemma Mays' dentist hubby.

The public will never accept Stamos as a replacement.
They might as well cancel the show right now.
2 1/2 men is built on Charlie Sheen as the sex crazed boozing drugging uncle.
The other actors are just in supporting roles.
If Sheen functions well enough to be sober for the filming of the show, why do they care what he does in his private time.
He is an adult.
Moreover, his antics have prouced even more publicity for the show.
They'd be stupid to shut it down now.
LOL Lorre would be a total fool to stop a money making show just because Sheen pointed out that he changed his name from Chaim to Chuck.
That fact is amusing but certainly not anti-semitic.
Obviously, Lorre was not entirely comfortable with his Jewish first name, so he anglicized it. But a lot of people do that.

Lindsay will not have a job in Hollywood in the forseeable future, even if she stands on her head with no pants on.
Charlie is perfect to that role.And no other actor will be able to replace him.they should cancel the tv serie.I wouldn't watch it with Stamos in Sheen's place.Serious.
Stamos is a good actor,but can't replace Sheen.That character was made for Sheen.If he won't be there,they should cancel Two and a half man.Simple.Stamos will make the ratings drop hard.He's cute,but not good enough to replace Charlie Sheen.

As much as I like John Stamos I think they should just cancel the show. I don't watch it, Charlie Sheen being one of the reasons (another being that I could never get past the annoying theme tune, would rather chop my own ears off). Charlie's the lead, why carry on without him. He clearly is self destructing and I doubt there's anyone who can save him now (turning on his father who is trying to help him just shows how low he is). I fear we'll shortly hear he's dead or been locked up (either prison or sectioned), the man is having such a blatant breakdown and media outlets trying to get interviews when they know it's just digging him in further are worsening the situation. It's like poking a rabid dog with a stick to see what it'll do. If the media were responsible and anyone cared for Charlie they'd leave him the hell alone and stop giving him publicity. He'll have no career shortly. Spencer Pratt wants to be his publicist now, could he sink any lower? Well I'm sure we'll find out shortly. So sad, I liked him in the Hot Shots films, it was after he had the plastic surgery (and consequently a massive chin) that it all went tits up. I seriously think he has bipolar.
I think what we are witnessing is called "tough love". He is an adult and can do as he pleases but producers don't have to hire him for other roles if they think he is a liability.
I hope he gets his poop in a group soon.
John would be great on that show. Then we wouldn't have to hear the insane charlie anymore!

I don't have any judgments against Charlie Sheen. Very few people go through life without having problems of some sort. This mindless show has gone on too long anyway. Charlie should go back to work in movies.
Replacing any character always changes the show it's never the same. But, with Charlie thinking he's the shit and deserves more money is crazy! Charlie should get paid what he gets now and not get upset. Charlie has screwed with peoples jobs. He clearly is not a professional and should be replaced or maybe we should stop watching the show. Could this be the end of 2 1/2 men?
They should cancel the show anyway, the humour is average and predictable, gone are the show that were really good, Cheers Friends Taxi Seinfeld even Fraser is better than 2 1/2 men.
