Chaz Bono got voted off of Dancing With The Stars, but he made Out magazine's 100 Most Influential Gay, Lesbian and Trasgender Men and Women list for 2011.
The mag commended ABC for putting Bono on the show despite backlash, and writes, "After years in which American Idol contestants were encouraged to keep their sexuality private, seeing Bono dancing with his female instructor was one of television's most inspiring images of 2011."
Adam Lambert, Tim Gunn, Brad Goreski, Lance Bass and Andy Cohen were also named.
The mag notes Bono's other achievements this year, including documentary Becoming Chaz, which garnered three Emmy nominations, and the publication of his third book, Transition: The Story of How I Became a Man.
Bono has Tweeted that he is now voting for J.R. Martinez on DWTS, though he is also close with Nancy Grace.
