Cher Is Twittering Mad Over Burlesque Oscar Snub
Posted on Wed Jan 26, 2011 11:59 AM PDT

Yesterday's Oscar nomination announcements definitely left a few hopeful nominees bummed, but Cher was the only celeb who decided to vent about the snub via Twitter.
While Burlesque received three Golden Globe nods this year, the musical co-starring Christina Aguilera gained nada from the Oscars. Cher lashed out via her Twitter:
- "We didn't get a nomination 4 best song ! That sucks ! Diane's song Is so beautiful ! It's hard to understand how u win. The Golden Globe 4 BEST SONG & not even get nominated by the OSCARS? Oh well it is..what it is ,,,,the sun is still shining! Maybe she would have had a better chance if someone else was singing it ?!! IT JUST CANT B HER SONG."
She's obv not going to attend the Oscars this year.
While we're not exactly sure why Burlesque was passed up for Best Song, we're more upset Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis didn't get nods for their work in The Fighter and Black Swan. These guys definitely deserved nominations. What happened this year?
Cher actually won a Best Actress Academy Award in 1987 for romantic comedy Moonstruck for her role as 37-year-old Loretta Castorini, an accountant for a few local businesses , one being her uncle's delicatessen and another is an undertaker. She was the first single-named star to win an Oscar in Academy history.
