Chris Brown Addresses His Haters And Explains How Rihanna Assault Changed His Career
Posted on Fri Nov 2, 2012 10:30 AM PDT
Chris Brown's road to superstardom hasn't quite been squeaky clean, but the R&B singer claims he has worked hard to get back into the public's good graces since the infamous Grammy weekend beating of his former - or dare we say current - girlfriend Rihanna. Appearing on a new episode of MTV's "This Is How I Made It," the Grammy winner opens up about night that changed the path of his career forever.
"Having to get personal opinion back and having to gain personal success back, you know, it's not all the way back you know. But it's one of my most humbling experiences," he confessed. Although many believed his outburst would destroy his career and make it impossible for him to make a comeback, Breezy soldiered on in hopes he could change people's minds.
"My story or my life or my legacy can hopefully show them that once you're down, that don't just mean you're down forever. You never let up," he added.
The "Turn Up The Music" crooner was back in court for another probation progress hearing yesterday, and his lawyer Mark Geragos requested permission for his bad boy client to go on an upcoming world tour. When the chart topper attempted to speak up in the courtroom, Geragos shut him down, sniping, "I don't dance, you don't talk." Snap!
Let's just hope you realize you used your one "Get Out Of Jail Free" card CB!
Brown's episode of "This Is How I Made It" airs Saturday at 12pm ET on MTV.
