They're both tainted by the media's depiction of what happened that night. Not looking at any jail time? I'm confused as to why it's alright to go and assault someone in the manor he did, especially a female, his girlfriend, someone he's supposedly in love with and not get locked up for ANY period of time.

This is so sad.....they both need to grow up. I agree if she put her hands on him first she should take responsibility also. I've known women who have done just that and then got p*****d when their boyfriends turned around and hit them. They (boyfriend) got the blame. If she didn't strike first then Chris needs serious, serious, serious therapy. He should get it anyway for getting so violent; she should for hitting first if she did.

I think the situation is unfortunate. What I do not understand about the whole hip-hop,rap generation/culture; there have been artist accused of far worse than what Chris is facing. Some rappers have been accused of murder and their careers flourished under those circumstances. Our society has become seriously twisted when a beating is more serious than murder(the taking of a life) I in no way mean to minimize Rihanna's injuries but she will live. If Chris is responsible for her injuries, he needs professional intervention, not jail time. Sending him to jail will not remedy his anger management issues, it is simply punitive. I say "IF" Chris inflicted her injuries because some people do injure themselves and blame it on their boyfriends as a means of punishment and or control. Watch Avant's Separated video. Everybody needs to take a step back and wait for the FACTS to come out before jumping to conclusions. We need to wait until a thorough investigation has been conducted, with statements from both parties. Do the facts and Rihanna's injuries support her allegations?

We should not allow the Media to try ths young man in the court of public opinion instead of the court of law. Watch the MTV special airing Monday, February 16th "Love in Trouble" The expert doctor on the show defines abuse as fighting, restraining a person, jealousy and control issues. A lot of stuff gets overlooked until someone gets hit.

I whole heartedly appreciate the fact that Rihanna is a protege' of Jay Z but he is overstepping his boundaries by declaring "Chris Brown is a walking dead man". He should offer Rihanna moral and professional support as Clive Davis did with Whitney Houston when it was rumored Bobby Brown was beating her. His comments should be taken as a threat by the authorities. If something should happen to Chris, his threats have been aired and printed in various media outlets.

Finally, I wonder how Beyonce feels about his public over the top support for Rihanna, considering he has never publicly supported her on anything.
