Superhero celebs put away their capes and shields to don suits and ties for the Captain America premiere at, appropriately, the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles Tuesday.

Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) all came out in support of the film. The question is ... which hero looked sexiest?

Our vote is for Hemsworth ... what's with the Elton John glasses, Chris Evans?! This was your big night!

The trio will star, along with Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Piven, Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L. Jackson (who also hit the premiere) in the upcoming Avengers movie.

Also at the premiere was Vanessa Hudgens with her newly shorn hair -- see it in our video and gallery below!

Our photogs caught up with Chris Evans as he stepped out with a new gal pal at Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel Wednesday night.

Looks like he's her superhero; he held his ladyfriend's hand tightly through the parking garage in the sea of paparazzi. The two kept it casual, donning comfy clothes instead of club wear.

Faris plays a woman trying to reconnect with every man she's slept with, and the star-studded cast of guys includes Chris Evans, Andy Samberg, Joel McHale, Zachary Quinto, Chris Pratt (Faris' real-life love), Anthony Mackie and more.

Captain America: The First Avenger promises to be an incredible summer thrill ride ... and after watching this full trailer, we can't wait!

Aside from getting to see Chris Evans' sexy transformation from scrawny kid to ripped superhero, the action sequences look amazing.

The movie also stars Tommy Lee Jones and another of our favorites, Stanley Tucci. Captain America blasts into theaters on July 22 in 2D and 3D.

The trailers for THOR and Captain America: The First Avenger aired during the Super Bowl last night, and we're having a tough time deciding which shirtless superhero is our favorite! Chris Evans bulked up big time to play Steve Rogers (aka Captain America), but Chris Hemsworth is giving him a run for his money in the deltoid department.

Sexy Chris Evans is all suited up with his indestructible shield/weapon, and is ready to defend the good old USA against what looks like a background of explosive mud. But what's with the big brown gloves? It looks like he's about to tackle an extreme gardening project.

For those of you who haven't read the comic book, the movie centers around Steve Rogers (Evans) who leaves the military after being deemed unfit, and volunteers for a top secret research project which turns him into Captain America; a superhero dedicated to defending America's ideals.

America features some of our fave male actors including: Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, and Dominic Cooper (yum) and hits theaters July 22. We'll definitely check it out ... if only for the man candy.

Captain America? More like Captain Sexy!

Here's your first peek at Chris Evans in this summer's Captain America: The First Avenger, and not only are we excited about the film itself, but Evans' muscles are also a big selling point!

Costume designer Anna Sheppard revealed that it took the star 25 minutes to get into the suit, and even though he could have done it with a wardrobe assistant, he preferred to slip into the getup on his own. She explains, "He likes to do it all by himself. I think it helps him feel like a super hero."
