Emmys Sparkles Don't Always Shine ...

There's a way to do sparkles and a way NOT to do sparkles and you can see examples of both here with Claire Danes and Rita Wilson on the Emmys red carpet.
Claire looks gorgeous in her peachy strapless number while Tom Hanks' wife Rita Wilson looks ... well ... a little less gorgeous.
Don't get me wrong, her hair a makeup look GREAT -- but you can NOT wear something like this beaded mess. And the shoes?! I can only hope that Ms. Hanks did this as a joke. I mean no one would really wear this seriously, right? And doesn't it hurt like a b*tch to sit down in this? Girlfriend's gonna have some serious dents in her derriere tonight!
Better luck next time, Rita! I guess when you've been going to these things for as long as you and Tom have, you just wanna have fun with it!

Tom Hanks looks old. Rita Wilson looks twice as big as she probably is. She is wearing chandeliers on her shoes, and one of those love bead room curtain dividers for a dress.
They need lessons in aging gracefully in Hollywood, because it can be done.
And while I'm talking about the aged, why did Betty White dress like a square Easter egg tonight? She could have looked so much better than this.
cannot stand claire snooty danes. i wouldn't spend a dime on any of her movies, which is why the only audience she'll get is on TV because at least no money has to come out of anyone's pockets. I wouldn't watch any of her work on TV either, though. Don't like her much, can you tell?
The sad thing is the sparkly mess on Rita Wilson is Prada and Costs 20,000! i wouldn't buy it for 20
Rita looks horrible! Definitely chosen as an attention getter, and she got it. Yuck!
