Conan O'Brien Sings Duet With Superman

Apr 26, 2010 08:57 AM

Conan O'Brien continued his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television Tour over the weekend, but fans at the Universal Studios show got a special treat ... Jim Carrey dressed as Superman!

The two comedians belted out an emotionally-charged Superman (It's Not Easy) by Five for Fighting.

Before Jim enters the Gibson Amphitheatre stage, Conan says to the crowd, "Luckily, a very good friend of mine understands how I feel....cause he knows it ain't easy being Superman."

Who knew Jim could rock tights like that? Hilarious!

Conan O'Brien "Will Survive" On The Road

Apr 13, 2010 10:48 AM

Conan O'Brien hit the stage last night in Eugene, Oregon for the first stop of his 30-city Conan O'Brien Tour. The funnyman closed the show with his own version of the classic, I Will Survive.

Sounds like he definitely had NBC on his mind during the performance. Not sure if the original song had the words Gossip Girl and Vicodin in the lyrics, but Coco's version does!

We can't wait for his return to late night TV on TBS.

Conan O'Brien Lands Show With TBS

Apr 12, 2010 11:00 AM

Conan O'Brien isn't wasting any time getting back to his talk show schtick!

The funnyman announced via Twitter that he's returning to the airwaves on TBS...not FOX. He tweets:

"The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I'll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show."

Conan's new show will air at 11pm weeknights. OMG! So that means Lopez Tonight will be bumped to midnight. NBC bumped Conan for Jay Leno...and now Conan has done the same thing to the Latin comedian. Talk about irony! Sorry George...but hey, that's a damn good lead-in!

Lopez, who calls the new TBS due "LO-CO" couldn't be happier with the situation...or at least that's what he's telling his fans. George tweets:

"I welcome @conanObrien to his new home at TBS .. A new generation of late night is about to begin !!"

Will Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and the masturbating bear be tagging along with Coco?

Come November, let the debauchery begin!

X17 XCLUSIVE - Conan Inches Closer To A Deal With Fox

Mar 25, 2010 05:30 AM

Conan O'Brien valet Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Coco jeans scarf sunglasses

Conan O'Brien and his wife Liza were all smiles as we snapped them making their way to the valet yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles. While we're sure he's enjoying his time off (not to mention his hefty settlement from NBC!), we're guessing the real reason he's beaming is because he's resumed talks with Fox.

Not only are negotiations back on, but it looks like Conan has set the stage for a possible announcement as soon as this spring. You see, Conan's 30-city comedy tour schedule has him in New York on May 17, which just so happens to be the date for Fox's fall upfronts. And coincidentally, Conan isn't performing on the 17th, so we're hoping to hear something that night about his return to the fall television schedule!

X17 XCLUSIVE - Conan And Company Cruise Around Nearly Unnoticed

Conan O'Brien family Sunday afternoon hat Four Seasons Beverly Hills

That beard is a pretty good disguise if you ask me!

Yesterday we spotted Conan O'Brien, his wife Liza and their daughter at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, and we were barely able to recognize the former Tonight Show host! Is he having a competition with Brad Pitt for scraggliest beard? Or is he simply waiting for a new TV deal before he hacks it off?

Conan O'Brien Joins Twitter, Gets 1,000 Followers A Minute

Feb 25, 2010 08:15 AM

conantwitter.jpg In case you didn't already know, Conan O'Brien is on Twitter, and his followers seem to be growing at an exponential rate.

Over 250,000 fans have added the former NBC Tonight Show host, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, Conan got 1,000 followers a minute within the first three hours of signing up for the micro blogging service.

A bearded Conan posted a picture of himself with a monkey on his back and tweeted, "Today I interviewed a squirrel in my backyard and then threw to commercial. Somebody help me."

While having hundreds of thousands of followers on Twitter may be comforting, it looks like Conan may be getting some serious revenge against Jay Leno sometime in the near future. While Roger Friedman reports that Conan and Fox are actively working on a deal, Conan is also in talks to take his show live to theaters across the country. It would make the comedian more appealing to Fox, and it seems like an announcement about Conan's latest projects could even upstage Jay Leno’s return to the Tonight Show next month. We'd love to see that!

conanpilot100.jpgNBC Picks Up Conan O'Brien Pilot

Conan O'Brien may no longer be hosting The Tonight Show for NBC, but the network has picked up an hourlong pilot from O'Brien's production company, Conaco.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Conan's untitled project, known as "Justice," follows an ex-Supreme Court justice who quits his job to start his own legal practice. John Eisendrath is listed as the writer an EP, and O'Brien, along with his longtime executive producer Jeff Ross and Conaco's David Kissinger are also expected to serve as executive producers.

samdracula100.jpgSam Worthington In Talks To Star In Dracula Year Zero

Avatar actor Sam Worthington is in negotiations to star in Dracula Year Zero for Universal Pictures, according to Variety.

The studio is keeping the plot under wraps, but story focuses on the origin of Dracula, "weaving vampire mythology with the true history of Prince Vlad the Impaler and depicting Dracula as a flawed hero in a tragic love story set in a dark age of magic and war."

With Avatar now the highest grossing movie in history, Sam is well on his way to becoming a huge star, so given the vampire trend in entertainment, it sounds like this could be a big hit!

lucas100.jpgGeorge Lucas To Produce CGI Musical

Not much is known about the CGI-animated musical in preproduction at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch, but The Hollywood Reporter says that the project is an adventure movie that tells the story of America’s first black pilots, the Tuskegee Airmen. Plot details are top secret, but we were able to extract this tidbit - apparently the film features fairies and a wide range of music. Should be interesting!

Conan O'Brien Says Goodbye, Keeps It Classy

Jan 23, 2010 09:35 AM

Conan O'Brien hosted his final episode of The Tonight Show last night, and rather than continuing to bash NBC, he thanked his fans and gave a rather serious monologue. I honestly thought he was going to get teary a few minutes in!
