Congrats To The Winners Of Our 2010 Golden Globe Contests!

Congrats to Alyssa from Attleboro, Massachusetts, she's won our first Golden Globes giveaway - a $2,800 gift bag from Kari Feinstein’s Style Lounge. We thought Alyssa's Clooney quote was deserving of some treats, but she wasn't the only one!
Another congrats goes out to Catherine from La Quinta, California, as she correctly guessed the winners for Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress for the drama categories, which is no easy feat! Catherine will receive a $6,000 swag bag from Melanie Segal's Golden Globes Lounge, which is presented by the House of Blues.

George Clooney is so overrated. He's got a handsome face and nice hair but that's it. He's not like one of those real stars from the previous decades.
Who chose the winner for the caption contest? The "winning" entry is just lame! There were 50 entries better than that! Funnier, more clever, more topical. Note to self: next time, pick contest winner, THEN smoke out, not visa versa...

They should have narrowed the field down and had the readers vote on it. Democratic process works well for choosing things like that. The one they picked just blows. It's not funny or entertaining at all. Agree with @5:33. Many, many better ones. Especially the ones about FAbio.. :^)
They couldn't choose a good one. It might piss off George. They can't imply he's gay or afraid of Fabio. They'll get sued, or ignored for interviews. X17 is just another vehicle for cultural conformity. Ah well. We can all vote on the one that REALLY woN! LOL! What prize do you get? R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Maybe they didn't pick the funniest or coolest. Maybe the contest was to pick the most average and uncreative caption. After all, it mentions Jersey Shore. Can't get more uncreative than that.
Are we surprised? A gossip website rigs the contest? They make their living selling pictures of famous people who don't get paid for their pictures. We fell for their trick.
