After years of silence between Courtney Love and daughter Frances Bean Cobain, the two ladies have finally broken the ice.

Love had Tweeted the following to her 20-year-old daughter: "Merry Christmas Bean!! Love you more than you could ever know. Xmamma."

Hours later, Frances replied: "@Courtney merry Christmas kooksmcgee."

Courtney then followed up with: "That tweet was the best gift ever, its all I need even if it’s a dammed social network J miss that little head of yours."

Three years ago at 17, Frances got a restraining order against her mom. Now at 20, she lives at a $1.8 million Hollywood Hills home that she purchased with trust money from her famous rock star dad Kurt Cobain.

Courtney Love attended the opening night of Donizetti’s "L’Elisir D’Amore" at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City, and the 48-year-old singer/actress has the tendency to look a bit rough, but she looked polished and picture perfect yesterday evening!

"L’Elisir D’Amore" (or "The Elixir of Love") is a story about a twitterpated peasant who tries to attract a wealthy woman by drinking a potion created by a phony doctor. The lady brushes him off, and despite the fact that she marries someone else, she later becomes interested in him when he ignores her. But of course!

Vanity Fair asked guests if they had ever done something that crazy for love, and naturally, the former Hole rocker had quite a bit to say. “Grand gestures? Darling, I’m the queen of them,” she said. She reveals that she once hopped on a private plane to see someone at a hotel, and then got right back on the plane. “Because I’m not that rich,” she explained. “You know, when you get a private plane, you have to pay for both ways, so you get 12 hours.”

Love said she also gave someone a tree, and she added, “You know, I think when I die, I’ll pass an elevator shaft with all my grand gestures piled up, plus all my loose change, rubies, diamonds, hundred-dollar bills I’ve lost. When we die, all our stuff that’s lost, you know, it’s all going to be there. Plus all your grand gestures.” Aww!

Courtney Love's ex-assistant is suing over unpaid wages and unethical requests the singer made, claiming she was instructed to hire a hacker and falsify legal letters.

On Tuesday, Jessica Labrie filed a wrongful termination and breach of contract suit in a Los Angeles courtroom.

According to the lawsuit, Labrie worked for Love for about a year from 2010-2011 but was let go when she complained about thousands of dollars in unpaid wages and business trip expenses. The suit also claims Labrie suffered headaches, insomnia and other medical conditions as a result of Love’s conduct. Her attorney, Joshua Gruenberg, stated that Love wanted a hacker to change records to businesses she owned or believed she owned, but Labrie refused.

Labrie is seeking unspecified damages for alleged wrongful termination, failure to pay wages and overtime, negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Ms. Love and her pal Linda Perry sat down with Access Hollywood the other day, and the ladies talked about Courtney's love life (it gets a bit awkward but Courtney finally admits she's not dating anyone) and then the topic of conversation shifts to Lindsay Lohan!

Courtney says that the two have a mutual pal and that Lindsay, along with several other women, will be coming to her house to chant this Friday. So what else did the outspoken rocker/actress have to say about Lilo? Click the video above to see!

Frances Bean Cobain finally had enough of mom Courtney Love's embarrassing Tweets, after the singer claimed that late hubby Kurt Cobain's bandmate Dave Grohl had once "hit on" their only daughter, and "she was curious." Yikes!

This prompted the usually private 19-year-old to lash out, Tweeting in response:

"While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy."

She added, "Twitter should ban my mother."

Grohl was also quick to shoot down any rumors of a romance, telling E! News, "Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue."

Should Twitter ban Courtney for slander?

Troubled singer Courtney Love opened up her lavish closet to fashion blog StyleList.com for their "Behind The Closet" segment, but despite the fact that her wardrobe was filled with priceless vintage pieces, Love was constantly sucking on a cancer stick, filling her walk-in with nasty cigarette smoke.

Love donned a sheer top that clearly showed off her bra for the segment, and revealed that most of the antique clothing she's collected was the result of her job in the wardrobe department at Paramount Pictures, in 1983.

The Hole singer revealed that her job was to take the used vintage items and throw them out, but she would take them home instead -- smart girl!

And when Love was asked if she kept anything from late husband Kurt Cobain's closet, she replied: "I don’t have it here, I store it. People steal it. If I tell that something was Kurt’s it’s gone."

Court also gushed over her fave designer: "I am really big on (Vivienne) Westwood, even though my boobs have popped out twice now."

Meanwhile the singer recently responded to reports that she's being kicked out of her $27,000-a-month rented NYC brown stone, after wrecking the decor and -- surprise, surprise! -- by causing a fire inside the $8 million designer home. She's been served was an evection notice after causing more than $100,000 worth of damage, and she also owes $55,000 in unpaid rent.

Court said she caused the "damage" because she was upset she couldn't make any alterations to the decor.

Courtney Love claims to be Lindsay Lohan's sobriety coach, however Lilo's rep says it's not true.

Steve Honig, Lohan's rep, tells X17online:

"Courtney Love is not, and never has been, a sobriety coach to Lindsay Lohan."

In the December issue of Details magazine, Love, 47, said the following: "I've taken up Lohan because nobody else will."

Kurt Cobains's widow then went on to say the 25-year-old starlet was "further down the line than I was" ... and that she's Lilo's last hope to stay sober.

Love's rep says Courtney has yet to officially give Lindsay any advice. Back in 2008, Love went through a 12-step program in order to get off drugs.

As for Linds, she must complete at least 12 days of community service at the morgue by December 14 as a result of violating her probation. She'll also be featured in Playboy's January/February issue.

Courtney Love is pulling a Lindsay Lohan -- but on a much larger scale!

A Manhattan judge just found Love responsible for $115,000 worth of jewelry that went missing last year.

Love borrowed baubles from celeb jeweler Jacob & Co. for "The New Yorkers for Children Benefit" at Cirpriani's restaurant last year, including two gold diamond chains, a gold cuff bracelet and gold diamond pave hoop earrings.

The chains were $34,200 each, the earrings $45,500 and the bracelet was worth $70,000. Love signed a document saying she knew the value of the jewels.

Love claimed that after the event, she put the items in a bag and gave them to the staff at the Mercer Hotel (where she was staying) with instructions to return the bag to Jacob. She claims the staff returned the bracelet, but lost the chains and earrings.

At the time, Love filed a police report (she maintains that she does not have the jewels.) But Jacob didn't believe her, and filed a lawsuit soon after saying she is responsible and demanding that she pay $113,000 plus interest.

“Her detention and retention of the chain and the earrings are wrong,” said the company’s filing.

Now, a judge has sided with Jacob, and Love must pay him the money.
