And The Winner Is...

photo credit – ABC/Kelsey McNealIn case you missed it, 17-year-old Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and partner Mark Ballas beat fellow finalists Melissa Rycroft and Gilles Marini on the season finale of Dancing With The Stars last night.
Shawn was the show's youngest winner (and competitor, for that matter) and she seemed flabbergasted when she took home the top prize. Johnson, Rycroft and Marini each earned a perfect score of 30 from the judges for their final performances, but after the viewers votes were factored in, Shawn emerged as the champion.
Were you happy with last night's decision? Or were you rooting for Gilles?
But hey, after all those Olympic medals, she should be used to winning, right?

Shawn Johnson is OVER-RATED!!!! Ugh! I'm even from Iowa and I don't think she should have won. Real dancers got the shaft!
It's totally backward. Gilles should have been 1st place. Followed by Melissa in 2nd, then the little gymnastics girl with the porky thighs in 3rd place. I demand a vote recount. Gilles was robbed. DWTS sucks!

Gilles is the real dancer here! that little girl was nothing special and she was very awkard to look at! she was not a pretty dancer or very graceful to watch, she just looks awkard when dancing. Gilles was a beautiful dancer! he was robbed!
Either one of the girls should have won. Gilles was only getting the votes because of his looks.. I wanted Melissa but Shawn as the winner is fine for me.
Gilles was totally robbed! At least he was graceful and easy on the eyes. Shawn honestly reminded me of Miss Piggy. Just put a big blonde wing on her and a nose and there you go. Watching her dance was awkward...she's so stiff, big and not graceful at all. The votes were rigged!

I was fine with the final three. I think she got a lot of the Lil Kim/Derek and Chuck/Julianne votes as they urged people to vote for her and their friend, Mark. It is what it is, but I was pulling a little bit more for Gilles.

"viewer votes people!" she is a olympian and amateur athlete of the year and the other two are one hit wonder no name actors. who did you think was going to win?!

I think it was definitely one of the most enjoyable seasons. Would have lived with a 3 way tie. All 3 couples were fun to watch for different reasons.
She didn't dance better than Melissa and the French dude. But I can see why viewer vote for her to win. They didn't vote for Gilles because he dances like a gay man and he is too sensitive and emotional like a little girl. Melissa didn't win because views think she is not exactly an amateur dancer. She had dancing lessons when she was young. She is a trained dancer. And she works as a professional cheer leader which requires you to have basic dance skills. It's not exactly fair for other contestants.
Gilles didn't dance. His feet were a mess. So overrated. The judges had a hard on for Gilles.
Shawn was the most consistent out of all of them.

Gilles is by far the best dancer in the show. He's a natural. Shawn can learn anything but she isn't a natural dancer. Gilles has the feel and passion.
Maybe Gilles was the better dancer, maybe Gilles should ahve won, but this girl is hardly fat. She's rock solid muscle and she is that way beucase of her job! She's healthy, she happens to be short, so what? Those of you calling her fat need a biology lesson, or, perhaps you need some of the fat removed from your own brain...
