Beckhams' Baby Name Skyrockets Sales Of To Kill A Mockingbird

David and Victoria Beckham revealed that their new baby girl was named Harper Seven on July 10, and since then sales of the classic novel To Kill A Mockingbird are seeing a major resurgence!
For the literary unaware, Mockingbird is written by Harper Lee -- the only book ever penned by the reclusive Lee, 85.
Reportedly, sales of the book have risen by 123 percent on Amazon.co.uk since little Harper Seven's name was announced.
The book, first published in 1960, is now at number 38 on the bestsellers chart in England.
In a video posted to his Facebook page earlier this week, Beckham said that he and Victoria named Harper such because Victoria's favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird.
- "It's a very strong, passionate book ... We're very proud of having her [Harper Seven] in our lives and in our family. It's an amazing time in our family right now."
He also explained the meaning behind Harper's middle name, "Seven," saying that the name comes from his jersey number, the fact that "seven" symbolizes spiritual perfection and because it's a lucky number.
David recently sported sneakers with all of his four children's names stitched onto them -- an their color was perhaps another homage to his baby girl. See a pic of the sneaks after the jump!
