The Beckham family has a lot to be happy about, because David has just renewed his contract with the LA Galaxy!
The doting dad couldn't stop smiling as he goofed off with boys Brooklyn and Romeo, while watching son Cruz's Karate practice in Beverly Hills, on Wednesday night. Beckham clearly has a close relationship with his fam, which is why he decided to turn down a $12 million-a-year contact to play soccer in France, and keep the family settled in LA.
He said in a statement on Wednesday, after renewing the contract:
- “This was an important decision for me. I had many offers from clubs from around the world, however, I’m still passionate about playing in America and winning trophies with the Galaxy. I’ve seen first hand how popular soccer is now in the States and I’m as committed as ever to growing the game here. My family and I are incredibly happy and settled in America and we look forward to spending many more years here.”
Sounds like Harper Beckham will be a true California girl!
David's Galaxy contact expired last Dec. and he had taken the family to France to check out homes, before deciding to turn down the French club's offer, and keep the family in LA.
