David Beckham's New Contract

Posted on Thu Sep 20, 2007 08:30 AM PDT

David Beckham VBECKHAM071307_11.jpgDavid Beckham may have taken a lot of heat for his play (or lack thereof) since the Los Angeles Galaxy signed him to the biggest contract in MLS history, but apparently we can expect that to change once he gets back! The AP is reporting that, when booking an upcoming friendly with the Galaxy, the New Zealand club Wellington Phoenix had it written into the contract that the famous footballer had to play for no less than fifty-five minutes! Hey, the club just wants their money's worth - and for that matter, so do the Galaxy!

VBECKHAM091507_37.jpgHopefully Wellington Phoenix tell their defenders to take it easy on David - after all, if it weren't for a defender's overzealousness, he wouldn't be out right now in the first place!

Galaxy were dumb asses for paying so much for this has been athlete. They thought they were so smart paying the largest pay check to someone that no one else wanted. And now they are paying the price for it.

HE IS THE HOTTEST MAN ALIVE

He's British and boring.

How pathetic that the opposing team has to put it into their contract - doesn't the Galaxy have a contract of their own that requires him to play?
He's cute, but just an average athelete in a sport for which Americans care little. I wish he'd go back to England where he's appreciated - but mostly so he would take his ridiculous wax figure wife with him!

The article doesn't say whether Galaxy actually agreed to those terms -- it only says that Wellington put the terms in the contract. Well, did Galaxy agree?????

Good!! Earn your (American) money, or take PIGGY SPICE back to the UK. Too bad that they have to go this far, it should be expected that he plays a GAME instead of an appearance.

This Beckham guy is pathetic. He's supposed to be injured, but yet he's always about town even being seen at the Justin concert. The Galaxy are fools that have paid big money for this overrated soccer player. He needs to take him and his fugly wife back to Britain.

Go back to England and take your big breasted whore with you.

Are you hoping Britney Spears guest stars on Modern Family?

Yes! She has a funny personality and would fit in perfectly on the ABC comedy.
No! She would be horrific on the show and would tarnish its reputation.
Don't know! But it would be a great way for the show to get even bigger ratings.
