A week away from the first anniversary of the death of her ex-husband Michael Jackson, Debbie Rowe wore a shirt with the message, "I'm at the end of my rope and you're tugging on it," to lunch with friends in Palmdale.

She also appears to have gained weight since the death of the King of Pop.

It's more than likely Debbie Rowe will be skipping the anniversary memorial. It's no secret that she's had a rough relationship with the Jacksons, not to mention a virtually nonexistent one with her own children, Prince and Paris.

Debbie Rowe was spotted returning to Dr. Arnold Klein's (the man who may be the biological father of Prince and Paris) office yesterday with a few pals.

Jacko's ex has been making the trip from Palmdale to Beverly Hills on a regular basis now, but is it a social call? Or is she being treated for a dermatological issue?

Although lawyers on both sides claim that Rowe, the mother of Jackson's two eldest, had reached an agreement with the Jacksons to let Katherine retain custody of the kids while she was to get visitation and NO extra money, The NY Post is claiming that Debbie will in fact receive 4 million for signing the deal.

Jackson's ex-wife was reportedly receiving 1 million a year in an "informal" spousal support agreement between her and the king of pop, a payout that Michael's family apparently tried to put a stop to.

That's when Rowe started to make noise about challenging the Jacksons for custody.

"They just want to get rid of her. They recognized early in this process that she had no interest in playing a real role in their lives and that it was all about money," a source told the paper. So they decided to buy her off to the tune of 4 mill. BUT, "As part of the agreement, they have to say it's not about money."

The mother of two of Michael Jackson's children is apparently okay with the plan to have Rebbie Jackson raise the children.

Spotted as she was leaving the same Beverly Hills medical building where she was once a nurse for Michael's controversial dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein, Rowe was asked what she thought about Rebbie taking over the children's care.

"It seems fair," Rowe said.

According to Jackson family lawyer L. Londell McMillan, final arrangement for the custody of Prince Michael, Paris, and Blanket will be decided "very soon" and a deal is expected to be announced before a custody hearing which is scheduled for August 3rd in Los Angeles.

Debbie Rowe filed suit yesterday afternoon against Rebecca White, a supposed "close friend" who blabbed to Extra that Rowe was willing to give up custody of her kids in exhange for a big payday.

Debbie is suing White for defamation, invasion of privacy and emotional distress. In paperwork filed with the court, Rowe outlines the allegedly false statements made by White, who told Extra she had received an e-mail from Debbie saying "I'm not going after custody...These kids are not mine. They never were mine. They were always Michael's."

Additionally, White told the outlet Debbie wrote her in a separate e-mail, "My lawyer is telling me I have to take some responsibility about the welfare of the children...Do I want the kids? Hell no. Does it look good for me to ask for them? Absolutely. I don't want to look like the woman who gave away her kids and just forgot about them. Would Michael want Joe to have them? I think it would be the last thing that he would ever have wanted."

This is not the first time Rebecca White has been accused of making false statements for financial gain. The papers allege she's also committed such "malicious acts" against Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Robbie Williams.

But she had to know this would happen, right? I mean she did marry Michael Jackson and give birth to his kids, so it's not like she's just some average Jane...

Yesterday Debbie called the cops to her Palmdale ranch, and it looks like she's really starting to get sick of photographers camping out at her estate. Half a dozen officers showed up, and while we're not sure that they found a permanent solution to keeping the media away, it looks like Debbie was able to enjoy some peace and quiet after getting law enforcement got involved.

The Jackson family is reportedly paying Debbie Rowe $4 million to drop all claims of parental rights, the New York Post is reporting.

Describing the payment as "a ransom," the Jacksons reportedly worked out the deal with Rowe so that Michael Jackson's two oldest children will be raised by his mother Katherine.

"It's one final payday," a Jackson family friend reportedly told the Post.

Rowe was initially paid $8 million to give up custody of Prince Michael, now 12, and daughter Paris, 11. She received another payment of at least $4 million to give Jackson full custody of the kids after he was charged with child molestation in 2001.

UPDATE: Debbie Rowe's lawyer says the story is "completely false." Eric George tells CNN that right now there is no custody deal between Rowe and the Jackson but that the two sides were working on an agreement acceptable to all.

While Debbie Rowe continues to try to keep a low profile hanging out with her horses on her ranch in Palmdale, California, we have to wonder if she and Katherine Jackson are going to be able to work out a deal for custody of Michael's kids.
