We already knew Demi Lovato was doing an edgy shoot with celeb shutterbug Tyler Shields, and the pics have finally been released! It's kinda amazing how a single piece of candy can spice things up...

Demi tweeted, "Check out my new twitter picture taken by the brilliant @tylershields!!" and Tyler wrote on his blog, "I have received more emails asking me to release this shoot then any other shoot I have ever done Lovatics are dedicated fans! Demi killed it the glass smashing shot we did in 1 perfect take!" Well, she is a Disney star after all -- we'd expect nothing less!

Demi Lovato is saying goodbye to the Twittersphere ... at least for awhile.

The 20-year-old former Disney star, who has over 5 million Twitter followers Tweeted:

"Can't please everyone. Twitter break. It's for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway... BYE!"

Lovato has found herself in trouble as a result of recent Tweets ... some targeting those who have commented about her weight and another against Disney, who joked about eating disorders on their show Shake It Up.

A noticeably slimmer Demi Lovato donned a sparkly peach Marchesa gown for the 38th annual People's Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre in LA on Wednesday night, where she's scheduled to perform live!

And Lovato didn't leave the show empty handed. She nabbed the coveted Favorite Pop Artist award tonight!

Only the new 'do isn't permanent; the singer/actress posted, 24 hours later, "It's just a wig that I got today!! Hehe ... Don't freak ;)"

Demi Lovato covers the February issue of Seventeen Magazine, and the 19-year-old starlet chats about her struggle with depression and how she's improved her life, but she also dishes on her occasional drama with fellow Disney darling Miley Cyrus.

On her dark period, Demi tells the mag, “I’m not gonna lie. I was self-medicating. I was doing things like drinking and using [drugs], like a lot of teens do to numb their pain.” However after a stint in rehab in late 2010, she's doing much better these days. “I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs, I don’t throw up after my meals, I don’t starve myself," she says. "There’s nothing that I do that I feel ashamed of.”

While her relationship with Miley isn't always perfect, she knew she could count on her when things got tough. "No matter how many times we fight, we will always be in each others' lives," she tells the mag. "Miley and I are very strong-headed, so when we fight, it's brutal and we're like, 'We're never going to be friends again!' Then two days later, we're like, 'I love you and I miss you!'" So how's her friendship with Selena Gomez? "Selena and I, we never fight," Demi says. "She’s not a confrontational person at all. Both of them will never leave my life no matter what happens, because we’ve been through so much together.”

Demi is proud of her sobriety, and she says she feels "more confident, happy and healthy" than ever before. "I have so much to look forward to -- from little everyday things, like where I'm going to go shopping with my friends, to big things, like heading out on the road [on tour], or even really long-term things, like what my next big project will be."

Demi Lovato went off on Disney last night for a line in one of their new shows which seemingly pokes fun at a girl with an eating disorder.

In an episode of Shake It Up, one of the characters quips, "I could just eat you up, well if I ate." As you may remember, Lovato left the Disney show Sonny With a Chance and went to rehab for bulimia and bipolar disorder, and she's been very open with the public about her struggles with food and her health.

Demi, outraged over the joke, tweeted, "I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress' from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke about that very disease..... #nice ... And is it just me or are the actress' getting THINNER AND THINNER.... I miss the days of RAVEN, and LIZZIE MCGUIRE ... Dear Disney Channel, EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT."

@DisneyChannelPR responded to Demi and tweeted, "We hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them ... It’s NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!"

Demi Lovato is showing off her new "Faith" tattoo via her Twitter account along with the following phrase, "Sometimes you just gotta have a little bit of...."

Early this year, the Disney starlet went to rehab to battle depression and an eating disorder.

The 19-year-old singer's powerful ballad "Skyscraper" brought Demi back into the spotlight. The song is the first single off her third album, Unbroken.

After successfully completing her treatment last year, Demi Lovato returned to the center where she had sought help, to share her motivational story with women who are struggling with similar issues.

The "Skyscraper" singer, who received treatment for an eating disorder and emotional issues in 2010, Tweeted Sunday afternoon:

"Wow what an inspiring day... Many tears were shed and many memories were brought back at Timberline Knolls today ... Today I went back to the treatment center I went to last year, to speak to the beautiful women fighting their inner demons ... I was so honored to be able to share my story and let them know that it gets easier. Life is beautiful.... You are worthy of it."

The 19-year-old former Disney star has made great strides since checking out of the rehab program in January, and she's moved on with a new relationship. Lovato has been dating That 70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama since February.

Demi concluded her day with the Tweet, "Please say a prayer for all of those struggling with eating disorders, self harm, mood disorders, and substance abuse."
