Report: Demi Lovato Joins Britney Spears As New Judge On
X Factor

May 14, 2012 06:30 AM

Simon Cowell's doing something right!

The head honcho at The X Factor just signed on Demi Lovato as the fourth and final judge on the talent show, according to an E! News source.

Lovato will join Simon, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears at the judges' table when the show returns in September.

Fox won't comment on the news, neither will X Factor peeps, but reports claim Spears will get $15 million for a single season.

Cowell fired his frenemy Paula Abdul and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger in January, after the show's ratings were considerably below American Idol.

Demi Lovato Opens Up About Her Drug Use

Demi Lovato has been very forthcoming with the public about her struggles with bulimia and cutting, and now the 19-year-old starlet is opening up about her battle with substance abuse.

Demi, who spent three months in rehab in November 2010, chats with the new issue of Fabulous Magazine and says she's thankful she ended her addiction before it became life-threatening.

“Being a celebrity can be dangerous,” she says. “Nobody says 'no'. That’s why so many end up overdosing and dying. It could definitely have happened to me." When asked about her drug use, Demi tells the mag, “It’s something I don’t really want to talk about. What I can say is that I was depressed. I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I’d come crashing down and would try to find a way to recreate that feeling, to stay 'up.'"

So how did she score the drugs? “Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs,” she says. “They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my ass ... I thought they were my friends. I thought I was having fun." But couldn't she have just said no?

Demi Lovato Dares To Bare In New Twitpic

Apr 9, 2012 03:20 PM

imageDL460.jpg Demi Lovato takes it all off... her makeup that is!

The "Skyscraper" singer ditched her usual heavy foundation, false lashes, and extensions for a more fresh-faced look, and we think she looks better without all the cosmetics. The Disney star has been vocal in the past about her insecurities, so we applaud her for having the confidence to let her natural beauty shine!

It seems the 19-year-old has gained strength since leaving rehab in January, and today she tweeted: "When there's smoke there's fire.. And I'm not gonna stick around just to be burned." Could she be referring to her ex, Wilmer Valderrama?

The That 70's Show actor has been making headlines in recent weeks for his hot new romance with Minka Kelly, so maybe Miss Lovato was let down after holding out hope for a possible reconciliation?

Stay strong, girl!

Demi Lovato stepped out in NYC today looking perfectly put together, and we have to admit ... we've never seen the singer lookin' so sexy!

The 19-year-old star hit a fashion high note in a peach blouse and black leather jacket, but what we're really loving is her lustrous locks. Miss Lovato seems to have taken a page from Kim Kardashian's book and gotten herself some extensions! Maybe she's sexing it up to show her ex, Wilmer Valderamma, what he's missing?!

Although the "Unbroken" songstress and the actor only broke up a couple months ago, he's already been spotted out in NYC with a new gal -- a model -- named Rachelle Goulding ... poor Demi!

Demi Lovato was spotted leaving her New York City hotel last night, and while she was looking healthy and happy when we snapped her picture, she admits that she still struggles with her eating disorder and other mental health issues.

MTV premiered Demi's documentary, Stay Strong last night, and the 19-year-old singer is honest and states that she has slipped after leaving rehab in late 2010. "I cannot tell you that I haven’t thrown up since treatment ... I cannot tell you that I have not cut myself since treatment," she says. "This has been a daily battle.

Demi continues, "When I was four years old and I remember looking in the mirror and thinking I was fat I was constantly feeling guilty about my weight. I was overeating to compensate for not feeling worthy enough and then not knowing what to do. Even when I did lose 20lbs when I turned 12 because I stopped eating, it’s never enough. It was an obsession of the mind."

Last night Demi sat down with SuChin Pak for the After Show to chat about her recovery and how she's staying on track. "Doing the documentary was so interesting," Lovato told the audience. "I've never had cameras following me around. It was a challenge knowing it would be in front of the world. I felt really vulnerable and still do tonight in knowing that's what's in the world. I wouldn't change it, knowing some girl could hear it and be affected positively."
