Denise Richards announced that she'd adopted new baby girl Eloise in June, and now the actress is revealing the thought process behind her decision.
She explains on her new blog that she started the process two years ago, saying:
- "I had always wanted to adopt and had always wanted more children. I needed to make a decision: Do I wait for the right partner or move ahead with my life and do it on my own? I decided to do it on my own."
Richards already had daughters Sam and Lola from her marriage to Charlie Sheen. She recalls that the two-year process was rough. " ... there were many times during that I felt discouraged," she says. "But I always had faith that the right baby would find us (my daughters and me)."
Richards continues:
- "A lot of people ask me why I adopted another girl and not a boy. I honestly had no preference whether I had a son or daughter. ... My daughters, Sami and Lola, feel so blessed to be big sisters to Eloise. They love giving her a bottle, picking out her outfit and making her smile. ... I love my girls so much -- three is a charm!"

Awwwwwww
I love women who adore children and love them up all the time...so sweet. Whether you like Denise or not, she is a great Mother, clearly.

stunning mum and daughters!
I love her.
There was a while where she could have gone either way, become one of those awful celebrities that only think about themselves. I am glad she went the other way. I have huge respect for Denise and the way that she has handled everything that her family has been through.
I think she is awesome, I am glad she was able to straighten out her life. :)
