Denise Richards treated daughters Sam and Lola to a horseback riding lesson in Calabasas yesterday, and the actress was looking a little on the thin side.

While she is a little too skinny in our opinion, we can't really blame her! Looking after five children is exhausting!

The Wild Things star has been caring for her ex-husband Charlie Sheen's twin sons with Brooke Mueller, who is currently in rehab for the twentieth time.

It might sound overwhelming to be a single parent to so many little ones, but the blonde beauty insists it's not as impossible as it sounds.

"You just figure it out because you don't have a choice. You have these children depending on you. You prioritize. I had children because I wanted to be a parent, and I want to be there for them. I think my biggest challenge is [that] their different activities sometimes overlap. I have a good schedule going. You just manage," she recently explained to Us.

She's deserves a medal!

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards are officially the happiest divorced couple in Tinseltown.

Sheen has allegedly offered to increase Richards' child support payments, but she's declined, RadarOnline.com exclusively reports. Richards currently has temporary custody of his twins with Brooke Mueller. She's had guardianship of the boys since Mueller entered rehab for the 20th time on May 3.

"Charlie supports the actions of the Department of Children and Family Services," the Anger Management star's rep said in a statement. "He knows Max and Bob are safe in a stable, loving environment with Denise and the boys' sisters."

Denise also cares for her two children with Sheen and her adopted daughter. She reportedly already receives $55,000 monthly.

"Charlie is extremely generous, and wanted to make sure having the twins in Denise's care didn't place a financial strain on her," a source told Radar. "Denise was thankful for the offer, but declined because she has the financial means to take care of them herself. She isn’t doing this for the money."

In fact, the source said that Denise is the one person in his life he fully trusts.

"There have been many times over the last year that Charlie has said the best thing he ever did was marrying and having children with Denise, but the worst thing was ever letting her go," the source said.

In addition to graciously refusing his handout, Richards also tweeted a thank you message to her ex for flying her out from N.Y.C. to L.A. to spend Mother's Day with her kids. She's currently shooting the film Twisted in New York.

"Greatest ex @charliesheen my mom's day gift flying me home on his plane so I can take the kids to school," she wrote.

It's certainly a bizarre relationship, but what else can you expect from tiger blooded Sheen? As he said, "you can't process me with a normal brain."

The rest of her kiddos must be home with the nannies!

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen are currently in an L.A. court where a judge is ruling on the temporary custody Richards was granted of Sheen and Brooke Mueller's twins, TMZ is reporting. The court is expected to decide whether Brooke will get the kids back when she leaves rehab -- otherwise Richards could be granted full custody or, perhaps, shared custody with Sheen.

The L.A. County of Department of Children & Family Services removed four-year-olds Bob and Max from Mueller's home last Thursday after the county deemed the living environment unsafe due to Mueller's suspected drug use.

Mueller is now being treated at UCLA Medical Center. Her rep Steve Honig said she will later transition into a residential treatment facility for prescription drug abuse, marking her 20th rehab stint.

Richards has cared for the twin boys during Mueller's past trips to rehab. She also has two biological children and one adopted daughter of her own.

Question is ... why isn't Sheen fighting to keep his kids?

As anticipated, the judge ruled that Richards will maintain custody of the kids for now. The twins also attended today's hearing.

The Anger Management star's ex-wife has cared for Bob and Max multiple times before. Back in December 2012, the actress stepped in when Mueller entered rehab for the 19th time.

Although you might think Brooke would resent Denise for taking her boys, sources claim she's actually grateful for the generous offer!

"Brooke is really not in good shape at all. She is not opposed to Denise having the kids - that's her first choice," a source tells Us.

We're happy Bob and Max are in good hands now!

Denise Richards' dad Herb spent the day with Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen's twins Bob and Max, and although some people would think it was a little strange that the father of Sheen's ex-wife was looking after grandchildren that are not his own, we think it's wonderful of him to have such a big heart!

Denise has taken the boys under her wing while Brooke Mueller is in rehab, and we have to hand it to her for being such a stabilizing force in these little ones lives! Mueller is currently undergoing her 19th stint in a treatment facility, and this is the second time she has left the toddlers with the Wild Things actress.

At least the boys are in good hands!

By the looks of it, someone dropped a pretty penny this weekend!

Denise Richards took her daughter Lola on a shopping spree at Kitson over the weekend, and the reality star sparred no expense to outfit her little lady in the trendiest designer fashions! Let's hope they brought some goodies home for big sis Sam!

The actress lugged at least a half dozen bags to her car, so clearly her retail excursion was a big success!

We wonder if the Wild Things star has touched base with Brooke Mueller? Charlie Sheen's ex-wives have been in close contact over the years, and we bet Denise phoned her in the wake of her hospitalization for a reported drug overdose last week.

Mueller adamantly denies the reports, and claims that her visit to the hospital was the result of overly cautious actions taken by the nanny, who assumed she was unconscious when she was actually napping.

The troubled former real estate broker has even offered to produce her medical records to debunk rumors she's fallen off the wagon!

Apparently Charlie Sheen's ex's are on friendly terms!

Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards took their respective children with the Anger Management actor to the pumpkin patch today, and we have to give the two bombshells some applause for spending time together for the kids sake!

This isn't the first time in recent months they've been spotted together, either! Just a few weeks ago, Richards and Mueller took their children to the Malibu Country Mart for some lunch and toy shopping.

Rumor has it that the Wild Things actress helped out with Mueller's twin sons Bob and Max during her time at a substance abuse treatment center, and now that she's clean and sober it appears she still wants Denise in their everyday lives.

Way to go you two!
