Dennis Quaid's Kids Finally In The Clear
Posted on Wed Dec 5, 2007 09:11 AM PDT
People Magazine recently spoke to Susan Loggans, Dennis Quaid and Kimberly Buffington's lawyer - and she's got great news to report! Loggans has confirmed that the couple's infant children are finally well again. "The twins are back home," Loggans said, "They've fully recovered." Thank goodness! (Don't count on that being the end of the story, though - Dennis and Kim are still taking the manufacturers of Heparin, the drug overprescribed to their twins, to court!)
The People article also quotes Loggans as describing the Quaids as "very religious, and they believe their children's recovery is a real miracle". Sounds like their prayers on behalf of their children have been answered!

God bless!
Finally, some good news
I'm so glad. Those poor babies.
PARENTAL ADVISORY
NORMALLY, I'M NOT A BIG FAN OF LAWSUITS, BUT IN THIS CASE THE HOSPITAL SHOULD BE SUED AS WELL.
I HOPE DENNIS'S WIFE KIMBERLY WILL NOW TURN HER ATTENTION TO POSING NUDE IN PLAYBOY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
SHE HAS A BANG-A-BLE BOD AND A GREAT SET OF CANS.
Just keepin' it real.
prayers for the babies
God bless! Seems saw them before on a celebrity and millionaire dating site called millionairefriends.com. It's said Charlie Sheen has found love there.
I hope they sue the vajesus out of that company. God knows i would have killed them all if that happened to my son. Other infants died, so they were pretty lucky. I wish all the best for them and their families.
FYI- Heparin was not OVERPRESCRIBED, it was OVERDOSED! Not that anyone will care, it was the nurses fault for not checking the dosage on the bottle before drawing up the medication. One of the first lessons in nursing school is checking the dosage on the bottle before administering it. Many hospitals require that two licensed nurses verify the dosage of dangerous drugs like Heparin and insulin before administration. The nurse will probably lose their license over this one. This is sad for everyone involved, thank God the babies are alright. Not everyone would be so fortunate.
Yay happy to know that the babies are doing ok.
Who is advertising the millionaire dating site? Stop already !!! They did not meet on that site. You mention it on every site and claim everyone met there... be quiet already.
Oh that's good news. Thank God.
I hope to see pictures of the twins with their obviously "happy to be parents".
The company didn't make the mistake, the hospital did. It happened before. It seems to me that someone can't read or understand what they are supposed to be doing.I can see suing the hospital, but the drug company itself? Nope. I am glad to hear the babies are ok though.
PARENTAL ADVISORY
THE BASIS FOR THE LAWSUIT AGAINST THE MANUFACTURER IS THAT THE HEPARIN VIALS FOR BOTH THE LOW AND MUCH HIGHER DOSAGE WERE LABELED IN NEARLY IDENTICALLY COLORED BLUE PACKAGING.
THE THEORY IS THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE ANTICIPATED THE POTENTIAL FOR CONFUSION AND PROVIDED MORE DISTINCTIVE LABEL COLORING VARIATION.
THE CASE IS FURTHER BOLSTERED BY PREVIOUS CASES OF SIMILAR MISIDENTIFICATION OF CORRECT HEPARIN DOSAGES THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALREADY AWARE OF.
WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE 2 HEPARIN VIALS SIDE BY SIDE, IT'S ACTUALLY A PRETTY COMPELLING ARGUMENT THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE DRAMATICALLY CHANGED THE COLOR OF ONE OF THE LABELS SO THAT MISTAKES LIKE THESE WOULD BE FAR LESS LIKELY.
Just keepin' it real.
Get a grip Al. You may want to read up on information outside this site.
Glad to see the babies are doing well and are back home with their parents. Now stop reporting on this, X17. And don't say silly things like how prayers helped here. Medicines are what got the babies in to big trouble, but medicines are also what saved them after that.
THANK GOD, IT MAKES A HEART HAPPY TO HEAR SUCH WONDERFUL NEWS WHEN WE HAVE BEEN HEARING BAD NEWS SO MUCH LATELY. PLEASE KEEP YOUR LEWD COMMENTS TO YOURSELF. DENNIS AND KIMBERLY DON'T DESERVE THIS. THEY HAVE JUST BEEN THROUGH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Al, It takes a sicko to make the comment about Kimberly posing nude. Leave them alone to enjoy their family.
Thank God the kids are alright.
But we must remember that mistakes do happen... in any profession. A hospital is a high-stress place where nurses are understaffed and overworked. Obviously there mistake was not on purpose. I think it's good that the Quaid's are going after the manufacturer to have the labels become more distinguishable. I wish the best for the Quaids. Dennis is a great actor.. I've always been a big fan of his!
