Hospital Apologizes For Treatment Of Dennis Quaid's Infant Children

Us is reporting that the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has issued a formal apology for their horrifying mistake in treating Dennis Quaid and Kimberly Buffington's newborn children yesterday afternoon. "I want to extend my deepest apologies to the families who were affected by this situation," Dr. Michael L. Langberg, chief medical officer at Cedars, said in a statement, "and we will continue to work with them on any concerns or questions they may have...This was a preventable error." At least the situation seems to be getting better - Us quotes Kim's mother Delia as saying "They are doing well, much better...I certainly am thankful for that." Us too!
Our hearts really do go out to Dennis and Kimberly - we can't even imagine how hard this whole sequence of events must be on them!

Hope the babies are really alright. This is really something that can happen to anyone. Those people in there are over worked. They do a lot of shifts and they shouldn't allow that even if they do want the extra money for holidays etc who knows why that mistake was made. Hmmmm.....
Too many mistakes are made. I am myself have watched it in 3 leading hospitals with my Dad..He has gotten alot of hospital aquired illness. He has been through so much. Just one occurance, they put the feeding tube in his stomach wrong and it caused him to bleed and become so infected that 6 hrs. after they released him with nothing wrong, he was transported to another trauma hospital, non responsive, no blood pressure and bleeding internally to death. Watch everything, and don't think they always know what they are doing.

I never really liked Dennis Quaid. I hope the twins are doing ok. Cedars-Sinai should apologize for leaking their private medical information to TMZ.
Those poor babies and everyone who was wronged. I hope that hospital gets hit with huge lawsuits. They were completely negligent and could have killed the babies. Even now, since they had bleeding on the brain, they could be forever impaired. It's just sickening how lax hospitals are these days.
TMZ has all the real facts about what happened. The babies were to get 10 units of Heparin, a drug to flush out IVs and prevent clots. Instead they got 10,000 units, at least twice if not more. The babies blood thinned so much that they bled out, meaning they were bleeding everywhere internally. They are just under 2 weeks old and were treated with a drug to undo the damage but it will be a while before anyone knows if they will survive and if they will have lifelong impairments. 8 other patients were overdosed as well.
And BLACKIE, don't even pull the race card. I am white and BOTH my parents are dead from hospital related mistakes. I don't even want to hear your fucking sob story about how black people are treated worse than white ones cuz that is NOT SO!!!!
