In the wake of Lindsay Lohan’s lucky break – getting sentenced to jail without bail then miraculously being released that same night on $300,000 bail - CNN is now focusing their attention on the brains behind the operation: Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley.

Holley’s profession as a criminal defense attorney has seen such cases at O.J. Simpson’s, as she backed up the late Johnnie Cochran.

In a profession dominated by men, some are critical of the “go-to” entertainment lawyer, however, others say the critical remarks are only jealousy in disguise.

Attorney Carl Douglas, who Holley worked with on the Simpson case, says, "Shawn's the celebrity go-to lawyer right now.”

"She's not a lightweight. Anyone who says otherwise is sexist," a professor at Loyola Law School¸ Laurie Levenson, says. "When you hear petty remarks, they are just that -- petty, jealous remarks."

Levenson adds, "She's really coming into her own. She takes on the basket cases. She has high-maintenance clients, and she's able to maintain them. She does it with great professionalism.

Shawn Chapman Holley, the lawyer who toiled very hard on Friday and was finally after able to secure the release of her client Lindsay Lohan, has been threatened by Michael Lohan, the father of the celebrity.

Michael Lohan left a voicemail and a few texts on the phone of the lawyer, threatening to expose her by digging dirt from her past. He also accused Lindsay’s manager and lawyer of ruining her life.

Michael Lohan threatened her daughter's Holley after the lawyer succeeded in securing the release of the celebrity due to her frantic efforts. Lindsay was sent to jail by Judge Elden Fox on Friday.

The decision was reversed on the same day after Holley filed an appeal against the sentence.

Threats given on phone?

Michael left a couple of messages on Holley phone, urging her to quit as Lindsay’s lawyer for the welfare of his daughter. He accused Holley and Lindsay’s business manager Lou Taylor of tearing down the Lohan family. In a voice mail left on the phone of the lawyer some time earlier this week, Michael threatened about exposing them.
Lou Taylor of Tri Star Sports and Entertainment from Tennessee has been working with the actor before she ended up in jail.

Michael Lohan has confessed that he had left those messages but added that the facts are being twisted. Though he acknowledged the efforts of the lawyer in keeping Lindsay out of jail, he expressed annoyance and blamed him from not sending his daughter to the rehab sooner.

Lindsay Lohan, who was arrested on Friday, was denied bail by the Beverly Hills Court house for failing two drug tests, but she was released after many hours on a $300k bail.
According to some reports, Lindsay Lohan plans to return to rehab this week. This move is being seen as an attempt to prove to the judge that she is serious about her abstinence and is working hard on it.

Guys, There Is a Perfectly Logical Explanation for Those Lindsay Lohan Heroin Pictures

Yesterday, Britain's News of the World published a series of grainy photos of actress Lindsay Lohan playing with a syringe, making out with fellow Hollywood mess Paris Hilton, and seemingly getting drugs injected into her back. There are a few things about the images that raise questions: First of all, they are extremely fuzzy and it's difficult to tell exactly what Lindsay is holding (though it does indeed look like a syringe). Second, they are from 2007, when photos of the actress doing hard drugs would have been a lot more shocking — and therefore valuable. Why would a source sit on them until now? And third: Why would she pose for pictures while injecting heroin? It's one thing to make the decision to do drugs. There's at least some pluses involved. But getting photographed while doing so? When you are a celebrity? There is no net positive for that.

But okay, assuming the pictures show what they seem to show — Lindsay playing with a needle, receiving an injection in her back, and making out with Paris — there's a perfectly logical explanation: Lindsay Lohan is probably a diabetic!

Seriously! Think about it. She clearly isn't eating right, so her blood sugar is probably all over the place. In a moment of emergency, the Mean Girls star realizes she needs an insulin injection. She can't find her toolkit at first (have you seen her apartment?) so she calls over to her friend Paris for help. Paris scours the apartment with her, and then when they eventually find the insulin, gives her the injection. Lindsay, thinking that this is probably a good learning experience for her fans, asks another friend to document with pictures.

Problematically, though, Paris doesn't know anything about injecting insulin, and has doubled Lohan's dose. Her blood-sugar level plummets, and suddenly she is craving something sweet. Since there are (obviously) no carbohydrates in her apartment, she's in a bit of a pickle. "Paris, do you have any candy??" she asks, frantically. "Not on me!" Paris replies, "But I did just eat a jumbo-size box of Jolly Joes. In fact, all I eat is candy — why don't you lick the inside of my mouth?" Problem solved!

Doesn't this explanation make much more sense than the heroin one?
