Apr 22, 2010 03:49 PM

Two months before his accidental drug overdose, Adam Goldstein filmed a cameo for the Iron Man sequel and director Jon Favreau debated whether or not to include it. Jon says the following to The LA Times:

"We tried to make it respectful, and for people who know him, they'll get a kick out of it, and for people who don't, it will sort of slide by without much notice... I was just a fan of his, just an admirer of his work. It was supposed to be a one-day bit. But Robert took a real shine to him, as we all did. His energy was amazing, he was such a inspiring guy and there was a lot of depth to him and this positive energy. He ended up staying on with us for about a week and it was just great; we set up this turntable and between takes he would give me pointers."

In the flick, DJ AM spins tunes at Tony Stark's (played by RDJ) b-day bash in Malibu. When the party turns into a fight scene, Stark says, "Adam, I need a fat beat."

The film is also dedicated to Goldstein.

Under-Inflated Tires Ruled Cause Of DJ AM/Travis Barker Plane Crash

Apr 6, 2010 10:45 AM

travisDJAMcause.jpg

After wrapping a concert in Columbia, S.C. on September 19, 2008, DJ AM and Travis Barker boarded a Learjet 60 - all four tires then exploded as the plane zoomed down the runway at 150 mph...

The crash killed four people, Barker and AM were left seriously injured and the DJ later died of a drug overdose after getting hooked back on prescription meds.

Now the National Transportation Safety Board held a long meeting in Washington earlier today to discover the root of the problem: Under-inflated tires, says the investigators.

The NTSB also insists that this is becoming a widespread problem on business jets as well.

Hopefully airlines will take action so this doesn't happen again!

DJ AM's mother has added a wrongful death claim to her 20 million dollar lawsuit against Learjet, the manufacturer of the plane that crashed, causing AM severe injuries.

AM's mother, Andrea Gross, says in the amended filing that "The crash ultimately caused Adam Goldstein's death at a later date," indicating the post-traumatic stress AM endured which led him to return to drug abuse.

Learjet has denied responsibility in the crash which caused the death of four people (including the two pilots) and severe burns for AM and Travis Barker.

A trial for the suit is set for March 2nd.

Sep 24, 2009 09:00 AM

MTV still plans to air DJ AM's series Gone Too Far, the drug intervention show shot right before the dj died of an overdose last month.

Sources tell THR, that the network is in talks with AM's family to talk about when the series will debut on the net.

AM shot eight episodes of the show, which featured the recovering addict in somewhat of a counselor show. Considering how he died, it may be hard for some viewers to take his "tough-love" approach to addiction seriously.

The original air date was set for October 5th, but it's likely the show will be pushed back to air at a later date.
