well guys this is life as we see it. AM had friends , close friends that he might have told about his issues. there could have been a sign that he was in trouble but no one noticed it. i feel sorry for those who know he had a problem and now they are gonna live with this for a long time. too many people in this world commit suicide and it could have been prevented. with some help. If you notice a change in someone address it to them or even a close relative. may he rest in peace .

And to say that DJ AM was more talented then MJ is totally offensive... I actually think AM would be offended to hear that. Say what you want about MJ's personal life (btw he was found not guilty of any wrong doing with children) but he was at one point the biggest star in the WORLD because he was one of the most talented singers and dancers EVER... no disrespect to AM - he too was extemely talented but not even close to being in Michael Jackson's league. And that's why the news has done such extensive coverage on MJ's death (at nauseum as you say). And MJ didn't hate being black - he had vitiligo and used bleach to depigment the rest of his skin - one of the most common treatments for the disease when it covers 50% or more of your skin. What MJ did for the black community and for the WORLD proves that he loved everyone and used his money and fame for good. He donated more money and time to charity then any other celebrity EVER.

Glad they got rid of him quickly. I was getting tired of news stories about some nobody that commited suicide through drug abuse.

He had been sober for 9 yrs or so, had suffered through depression, and after the plain accident he was prescribed pain medication and benzodiazepines for anxiety which probably is what caused his relapse.. if you don't know what a person who's gone through depression or anxiety feels like, then keep your mouth shut and stop talking ill of the dead

Let's see.... DJ AM became a "Hollywood Celeb" when he gets engaged at one time to Nicole Ritchie, another "Hollywood Celeb," who became famous for being on a reality show with Paris Hilton, yet another "Hollywood Celeb"...

You said it. Adam was not only an extremely talented artist - WAY before he mingled with starlets - that's just when most of the public began hearing about him. Unless you truly followed the innovators of hip-hop through the ages, it would seem like Adam was famous for dating stars. Not so. He'll be remembered for his uncanny ability to bring people joy through his music & his completely unselfish commitment to helping those in recovery. Adam himself never survived that plane crash. Between the survivor's guilt & the need for pain & anti-anxiety pills, he was never himself again. As for the person who said Nicole could care less & that Adam's mom is going after the pilots $, get your f'in facts straight before you open your damn mouth. Nicole is devastated. They were very close. And HE ended things with her because SHE was having issues, NOT the other way around. he was clean as a bell when they were together. She has completely done a 180, and is a fabulous role model as a result. As far as the lawsuit, Adam had EVERY RIGHT to sue - and he nor Travis were suing the pilots - they sued their insurance companies. This doesn't even dent the families of the pilots - its not like it mattered if their insurance rates went up - there was nobody left to insure. Furthermore, it was pilot error that caused the crash. Nobody deserves to die, but Adam & Travis were the ones left with deep emotional & physical scars. Unfortunately in Adam's case, these scars would never heal. RIP Adam. You were instrumental in helping me in my recovery, and will be extremely missed.

Say what you want about comparing Michael Jackson to DJ AM, BUT DJ AM didn't chose to sleep with little boys and he never had to settle cases out of court concerning such action. The FREAK Michael Jackson is gone and little boys are now safe!!

It's so sad that DJ AM is now gone...I really don't know much about who this guy was but he was obviously important to alot of people...I find it so sad that drugs is the main reason he died...and perscription pills...this is horrible...I find that alot of famous people die as a result of drug use...I'm so tired of hearing that drugs is responsible for so many lives gone...anyway DJ AM...REST IN PEACE!
