Pittsburg Steelers wide receiver and the most recent winner of Dancing With the Stars Hines Ward was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Georgia early Saturday morning.
The pro footballer player, 35, was booked on a DUI charge at the DeKalb County jail near Atlanta at 3:41 am today and later released on $1000 bail.
"Hines is deeply saddened by this incident and apologizes to his fans and the Steelers organization for this distraction," his agent/manager Andrew Ree says in a statement.
However, Ree claims the Hines wasn't intoxicated at the time of the arrest: "From our preliminary investigation we can tell you that we are confident that the facts will show that Hines was NOT impaired by alcohol while driving."
Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his celebrity partner Kirstie Alley came in second last night on the Dancing With the Stars finale, and according to Maks, this may be his last time on the hit ABC show.
As for whether he'll be returning for Season 13, the sexy pro tells AOL TV:
"I don't know. It takes a lot out of you. When you invest that much of you into something that's supposed to be just work you [can] get misinterpreted. I don't know [if I'm coming back]. We'll see. Right now, I'm drained."
Kirstie Alley added:
"He's got good qualities. He's handsome, he's got a good voice and he's funny. He's got other qualities ... he's broody, he's deep. All the bad boy actors are like that. He could be a really great actor if he wanted to act."
Good for him! But if he doesn't return, we'll miss that sexy chest, for sure!
This isn't the first time Maks has taken a break from DWTS. Ready about the first time ... after the jump.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward danced his way to victory Tuesday night, beating out Chelsea Kane and Kirstie Alley to win the 12 season of Dancing With the Stars.
Ward gave a huge hug to partner Kym Johnson, who recently suffered a neck injury during rehearsal, and told the judges and the fans, "I never thought I'd be in the finals, but I owe it all to Kym. She's an amazing teacher."
The pair performed a Samba to Earth Wind and Fire's disco hit "Fantasy."
The loss for former Cheers star Kirstie Alley was bittersweet. Her sexy number with partner Maksim Cmerkovskiy impressed judges but wasn't enough to put them in the top spot. Alley said of the experience, "It's like the most extraordinary adventure I've ever been on in my whole life."

When we caught up with Dancing With the Stars contestant Kirstie Alley yesterday, even SHE was in the dark about the extent of fellow dancer Kym Johnson's injuries.
Johnson was carried off on a stretcher to an awaiting ambulance Friday during a rehearsal for the show. She was treated at Cedars Sinai and released. Her publicist has said Kym is "okay," but no further details were released.

Dancing With the Stars' pro Kym Johnson was injured while practicing with her partner Hines Ward Friday.
An eyewitness tells Extra the pair fell while rehearsing a move. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed an ambulance was dispatched to the studio. Johnson was taken out on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on her face, according to the report.
Johnson's rep just released this statement to X17, assuring the dancer's fans, Kym is alright: "Kym injured herself during rehearsals today, she was taken to hospital for precautionary measures, to assure she is ok."

Okay, so she didn't actually reveal any secrets to us verbally, but these pictures speak volumes about Kirstie Alley's techniques for a successful performance on Dancing With the Stars ... going barefoot and drinking Kool-Aid!
So THAT'S how she does it!
We spotted Kirstie leaving practice barefoot again yesterday. She Tweeted earlier in the day: "Buying 45 pair of dance shoes... Hoping it's the SHOES and not the F-ing feet!!!" We hope so too, K.
After all, buying some new kicks for the show is the least you can do when producers were insanely kind enough to hook you up with Maxim Chmerkovskiy as a partner!

Brady Bunch mom Florence Henderson is now the fifth person voted off after her tango to
The Brady Bunch theme song with partner Corky Ballas tonight.
Even though the couple received their best scores yet, it wasn't enough to keep them in the game. The 76-year-old Henderson told the show's host Tom Bergeron, "I've loved this show since it began ... I hope I've inspired people to get up off their behinds and live and dance and enjoy life."
What a good sport!

She may not come to the ballroom, but Bristol Palin's partner Mark Ballas brought the ballroom to Sarah Palin last week!
The Dancing With The Stars pro flew to Alaska where he tweeted this pic of his first meeting with the former Govenor.
"Me and Mama Palin..." he tweeted. "Alaska is awesome...."
I guess Sarah will finally appear on the show after all, if only in a video package of the pair's trip to Bristol's hometown.
Mark and Bristol are already back in LA working on their quickstep which they'll debut on Monday night. Will Sarah be a good luck charm for them or the kiss of death, like she was for McCain?
