Claudia Schiffer and Elle Macpherson dropped their kiddies at a London prep school yesterday and stopped for a quick chat.

Elle was a bit dumbfounded -- wondering why we found her so interesting. But hey, you're used to being in front of the camera, Elle! Just because you're on mommy duty doesn't mean you're off the clock for a little impromptu photo shoot!

Leave it to supermodels Claudia Schiffer and Elle MacPherson to look ultra-glam even taking their children to school in the rain!

The model moms braved the elements to escort their little ones to (the same) school in London this morning.

With all that fur around her hands, it's a good thing she's still able to hold on to her shopping bag. Elle is getting ready to launch a new underwear collection called Bare and Bold. The new bras, going on sale January 3, are being designed to be worn under T-shirts.

Wonder what Santa is bringing Ms. Macpherson this year? No doubt, it's going to be one Elle of a gift!

Nursing her break-up with A-Rod, Kate surrounded herself with friends and family in Aspen over the weekend, getting in a little retail therapy with son Ryder, brother Oliver and gal pal Elle Macpherson.

One photog asked Kate if what she really wanted to find underneath her tree this X-mas was "A-Rod all wrapped up in a bow" but she remained tight-lipped!

Elle Macpherson looked stunning the other day as she strolled the streets of Aspen after a day of skiing, but a fur hat? Really?

If you remember, back in '05 Elle signed on to be the face of Blackglama's (the furier's) campaign. THEN after pressure from PETA, she attempted to back out of her $1.8 million-dollar contract.

PETA VP Dan Matthews penned a letter which stated:

"By making yourself the new face of fur for Blackglama you are also making yourself a top target for PETA and animal activists around the world. When you take money from such a violent industry you also must carry their baggage. And if you don't care about the animals, please consider this: fur adds 20 pounds and 20 years."

I guess some things never change ...
