Ellen and Portia to Tie The Knot!

Ellen Degeneres announced that she would marry longtime girlfriend, actress Portia de Rossi, during a taping of her tv show yesterday just moments after the Supreme Court of California struck down a ban on gay marriages.
After making the announcement, which will air on today's show, Ellen was applauded by the audience (which included her girlfriend de Rossi).
This wouldn't be the first time Ellen made a major announcement on television - she infamously "came out" on her sitcom a little more than a decade ago.
Course, she's also not the first lesbian talk show host to marry - Rosie O'Donnell married her partner Kelli Carpenter in San Francisco in 2004. The marriage was later deemed invalid, but this recent overturn means their license is legal again!
We couldn't be happier for the couple, and we can't wait to see what this celebrity wedding will look like!
Obviously Ellen's wearing a suit, but will Portia don a big white wedding dress?
