Elton John Forced To Cancel Concerts After Being Hospitalized For "Serious" Respiratory Infection

Elton John is being treated at Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA for a "serious" respiratory infection, according to the singer's rep.
After undergoing numerous tests, the 65-year-old performer's rep released the following statement:
- "Those tests resulted in the attending physician recommending that Elton not perform any concerts for approximately seven days with complete rest and antibiotic treatment to cure his respiratory infection and prevent any damage."
The "Rocket Man" singer became ill following a Vegas performance on May 20. He's currently performing in Sin City at The Colosseum for his "Million Dollar Piano" concert dates, however his current illness has forced him to cancel several shows.
John released the following statement to his fans:
- "All I can say to the fans is sorry I can't be with you. I hope to see you soon at this wonderful theatre at Caesars Palace."

David Furnish, Elton John's hubby, is speaking out regarding his remarks against Madonna following her Golden Globes win for Best Original Song for the W.E. tune "Masterpiece."

Elton John will be publishing the book "Love Is The Cure: Ending the Global AIDS Epidemic" which is described as his "personal experiences in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
