Eva Longoria is an undoubtedly beautiful woman -- but it takes a strong beautiful woman to "go ugly" for a role!
Playing a dowdier, older and heavier Gaby Solis this year on her hit show, Desperate Housewives, Eva fully committed to the "ugly", gaining weight and cutting her hair when she could have just worn some extra padding and a wig!
However, this kind of transformation often pays off for pretty actresses -- Just ask Charlize!
Wonder if she bought a whole new wardrobe or if she just borrowed some of her clothes from the set?

it isn't healthy to be over weight, either and in this photo (though I'm assuming it IS padding) she is overweight. NOT healthy at all! She's like 5'1" it'd be bad for her to be over 130lbs!!

I remeber not long ago everyone was saying she was too thin and needed to gain weight.I dont think shes fat i think she is obviously bigger then she was.And the first picture is shooting up at her which is making her look bigger then she is and also im sorry to say that haircut is not very flattering for her.I think it makes her look heavier.
I would've just worn the padding. Desparate Housewives is a lame show not worth gaining actual weight for. At least when Charlize did it, it was for a critically acclaimed film not a retarded tv show.

Oh my goodness for all you guys that really care if she put on pounds. if that is what it took for her role on the show then so be it. The ones that say I would never gain weight for a job... I BET YOU WOULD IF YOU GOT HER CHECK!!! I would love to be able to have her salary for a month. So get over it and leave her alone.
