Fantasia Barrino is expecting baby #2! The 27-year-old former American Idol winner made her big announcement over the weekend at a charity concert in Jacksonville, Florida.

Barrino told the crowd:

"You are the first [people] that I share this news with. And I share this with you because I can relate to you. And for a while, I walked around figuring out what they will say and what will they think about me. But now I tell you, I don't live my life for folk."

Back in August 2010, the singer admitted to attempting suicide after news spread that her boyfriend, Antwaun Cook, was married. Fantastia is already the mom to 9-year-old daughter Zion.

Fantasia Barrino stepped back on the stage last night for a duet with Snoop Dogg at The Palms Pool & Bungalows on Friday night part of the Superdraft weekend.

The appearance was her first since her suicide attempt earlier this month, which Fantasia admits was no accident.

Fantasia was also in town promoting her new album, Back To Me, and fighting off rumors that she's pregnant with lover Antwaun Cook's child.

Fantasia Barrino, former American Idol champ, says when it came to overdosing on aspirin:

"I knew exactly what I was doing. You can't accidentally take a bottle of pills."

Barrino was rushed to the hospital earlier this month after overdosing on aspirin and sleep aid following the news that she was named in a lawsuit by the jilted wife of Barrino's married boyfriend -- and that there was a sex tape that would prove Barrino was the other woman.

After waking up in the hospital following the overdose, Fantasia reveals her first thoughts were, "It didn't work. I'm still here in this hell hole. Still here with all the drama going on."

On Good Morning America, the singer tells Robin Roberts:

"I was overloaded with everything...tired of people doing me wrong. I just wanted to be away from the noise."

Fantasia's new album, Back To Me, hits stores today.

Fantasia Barrino is speaking out about her recent overdose, saying that it was no accident and that the American Idol winner "wanted out."

"I didn't have any fight in me. I didn't care about anything. I just wanted out," she says in a new interview for VH1's Behind the Music.

Barrino was rushed to the hospital earlier this month after overdosing on aspirin and sleep aid following the news that she was named in a lawsuit by the jilted wife of Barrino's married boyfriend -- and that there was a sex tape that would prove Barrino was the other woman.

Brian Dickens told us that, "She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time" she took the pills.

But Fantasia says taking enough meds to land her in the hospital was no accident. "I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can't accidentally take a whole bottle of pills."

Fantasia's Behind The Music airs on the network Tuesday, the same day her album, Back To Me is released.

Fantasia Barrino has released a statement after her recent suicide attempt on August 9 saying the American Idol star just wants to "get back to work:"

"I can't thank my fans enough for their prayers and support during such a challenging time. It has given me the motivation to get back to work ... I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this album and I pray that everyone enjoys it as much as I do."

Barrino will perform, as planned, on Good Morning America on August 24 to promote her new album Back To Me.

American Idol season two champ Fantasia Barrino has been released from the hospital following an overdose scare.

After a married woman filed a lawsuit accusing Barrino of not only sleeping with her husband -- but videotaping it -- Fantasia was admitted to the hospital after overdosing on the medication.

Her manager, Brian Dickens says, "She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time" she took the pills.

But luckily, Barrino made a quick recovery.

"She has been lifted up by the outpouring of love and support from her fans," Dickens said after Fantasia was released today. "She is more committed than ever to her daughter and her work because they are her heart, her soul and inspiration."

Fantasia Barrino is now recovering in a North Carolina hospital after an overdose of "aspirin and a sleep aid." Her manager, Brian Dickens says, "She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time" she took the pills.

Earlier this week, the former American Idol champ was named in a lawsuit when a North Carolina woman accused the singer of having an affair with her husband in addition to making a sex tape with a married man.

In response to these claims, Fantasia's manager released this statement to X17online:

Fantasia has always been an open book. Honesty, self-respect, and personal responsibility are values she wears proudly.

Fantasia believed Mr. Cook when he told her he was not happy in his marriage and his heart was not in it. She believed him when he told her he and Mrs. Cook separated in the late summer of 2009.

She believed Mr. Cook when he told her he lived elsewhere. He even took her there. One of Mr. Cook’s most redeeming qualities was his complete devotion to his children. Fantasia fell in love with Mr. Cook and believed that he loved her.

Fantasia and Mr. Cook dated on and off for about eleven months. The pressure of the constant media attention was hard on their relationship. Fantasia gave inconsistent interviews about the status of her relationship with Mr. Cook because sometimes they were on and sometimes they were off. When they were on, they spent most of their time together when she was not traveling with work.

Fantasia read Mrs. Cook’s Complaint against Mr. Cook for the first time yesterday. She knows some of the allegations in Mrs. Cook's complaint are totally false. There are others she strongly doubts. There is plenty she does not know.

Fantasia is heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused. Yesterday, she was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention.

As for the singer's current condition, Dickens says, "Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon." He goes on to say, "This is not the hardest thing Fantasia has endured. Fantasia will be stronger, smarter, and better for it."

Fantasia Barrino has been hospitalized due to a "medication overdose," according to WCNC.com.

Although her condition is listed as non-life-threatening, the singer, 26, was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville just before 9pm last night.

Fantasia was named in a lawsuit earlier this week when a North Carolina woman accused Barrino of not only having an affair with her husband but of also making a sex tape with the married man.

Her manager released the following statement just yesterday to X17online:

"Fantasia will weather this storm with the dignity and grace that she has exemplified throughout a life in which she has repeatedly overcome obstacles and challenges. Fantasia's faith in God, herself and family remain as strong as ever."

No word on whether the overdose was accidental or intentional.
