Fergie stopped by the Grove in Los Angeles to chat with Extra's Mario Lopez on Wednesday, and after that she attended the launch party for Unilever's Project Sunlight to celebrate Universal Children’s Day at Solar Studios in Glendale.
“Becoming a mom has naturally affected how I look at the future and the possibilities it holds for my son,” Fergie said in a statement. “Suddenly, every act, every event has more meaning. He makes me want to be better, do better and make the world a better place – for him and for children everywhere. That’s why it is important for me to be a part of the global launch of Unilever Project Sunlight."
Unilever's Project Sunlight is focused on protecting the planet for future generations, and during a chat with USA Today Fergie added:
- "I want [my son] Axl to be able to meet his grandchildren. Having a child, it was just like a no-brainer. I've been in mommyhood and loving that, but something like this, I thought, this is perfect, it's about the children, this is about protecting the planet for our children, and our children's children. It spoke to me and it was the right time. When I look into my child's eyes, I want to help children everywhere. Any mom can relate and understand it."
