George Clooney Alone In The City Of Love
Posted on Wed Jul 27, 2011 03:40 PM PDT

George Clooney is on a solo trip to Paris, but does he care?
The confirmed bachelor is all alone in the city of love -- but he seems to like it that way. X17 caught up with George in 'ol Paris, where he headed into a building in the Montparnasse district, seemingly there for business more than pleasure ... or romance.
After all, George only has 14 movie projects in development right now. No big deal.
And, the poster for his latest flick -- The Ides of March -- came out Wednesday. Ides stars George and another sexy actor -- Ryan Gosling!
Check out the poster after the jump -- it shows what a Ryan/George hybrid would look like! Hot!

Clooney is directing in, starring in and co-wrote The Ides of March. Real-life political activist George plays a presidential candidate, Ryan plays his press secretary who gets caught up in a scandal. Sexy!
George told USA Today that he's been wanting to make this movie for a few years, but had to wait until a couple of years after President Obama's hope-filled election -- he wanted the public to become cynical again.
He has apparently screened the flick for some politically minded friends. He told the paper, "Republicans hate the beginning of the movie, the Democrats hate the end." George is a Democrat.
The movie also stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood. It will open the Venice Film Festival August 31st.
